Do you have a rear shot of the Premier?
Sorry to be awkward.

Have spent all season telling myself I would get an Albion Club mkII helmet, but now you've got an affordable helmet think i've found a winner. Is it one size fits all?

Not sure if this will have gone to press yet, but I'd be tempted to photoshop out what appears to be a small flaw just to the left of the Ayrtek symbol on the front view. I'm sure it is a trick of the light, but it could give the wrong impression.

Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on September 22, 2011, 05:18:41 PM
thats a small indentation/countersink mark that is present for the underpeak attachment bosses :)

Should really photoshop them as the liner is on view in a few where it was only fitted in rather than being glued in due to the tight timelines we had to get stuff photographed

Have you seen any ayrtek in your league mate? I've seen 1 in Dorset so far, I'll hopefully be number 2.

You need to get into the CJI shop, so many teams around the Bournemouth area and most seem to get their stuff from CJI

Hi Tom.
Quick question. On the website on the pictures of the 360 degree image the blue lid has white lines on the side and up through the middle ot too.
The pics below the 360 degree image do not have these on, I wonder if these will be part of the final product or not or if i can specify these to be put on?
IMO it makes the helmet look better.
Thanks
Dave

Dave the silver pin stripes are not a standard issue on the Premier model but they can be included if you wish to have them on the helmet

The elite that all the pros are using and alot of people have on here has a carbon fibre and Kevlar shell which is prob the most advanced material that could be used to make any helmet from. The premier is a high impact ABS and made in a completely different method

If you don't mind me saying but wasn't this like 150 before?

It was which was an absolute steal for what it was costing to manufacture it!!! With the intro of the premier helmet we have had to raise the price of the Elite as cost price of titanium and carbon fibre have risen!

It absolutely make sense and the hike in price is very good move in terms of business perspective.

On the other hand I'm gutted for missing it for 150! :pissed:

how many hits will this take before a replacement is needed?
Title: Re: Ayrtek Premier Pics
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on October 17, 2011, 12:22:34 PM
Following the BSI standard......I have to advise that after being hit your "meant" to replace your helmet.

How many people do i dont know but it would depend on the effects of a being hit i guess ???
Title: Re: Ayrtek Premier Pics
Post by: Simmy on October 17, 2011, 12:24:54 PM
ive been hit 3/4 times on mine and it has also bounced of the changing room wall a few times and its just as solid as its ever been.

how many of us are facing 80mph+ bowling...i dont think at impact slower than that will cause any damage to the lid at all

Tom few questions for you mate if you don't mind

- Since Elite and Raw ones are made from Carbon and Kelver shell so what is Premier made of?
- How safe is that? I mean upto what mph it can take impact?
- Also the interior of Premier is exactly same as Elite and Raw, is that correct?

Many thanks mate I appreciate it
Title: Re: Ayrtek Premier Pics

as far as i know dave the inside of all the shells are the same. the only diffrence is the actually material the shells are made from and the number of vents!

-Premier is made from a high grade impact material...I cant tell you exactly what for obvious reasons.
-They are tested to BSI standards and pass with exemplary results, reading for the impacts on some sights were below the minimum that the machine is calibrated to read.
-same A.C.I.S liner is used across the entire range as are the other components the only change is the material the shells are made from.

Title: Re: Ayrtek Premier Pics

Great! Sorry for asking so many questions the only difference it provides is weight correct?

Also do all Premiers have matte finish?
Title: Re: Ayrtek Premier Pics
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on November 15, 2011, 06:31:16 PM
Not the one you have purchased is the normal finish, the first batch we have produced arent matte as such (liam requested a matte finish especially on his).

Correct re the weight....safety is the still very good on the Premier but as you pay more you get a lighter helmet with the Elite/RAW helmets
Title: Re: Ayrtek Premier Pics
Post by: Cover_Drive on November 15, 2011, 06:34:37 PM
Make perfect sense, I don't have anymore questions really.

I am not too fussed with weight to be honest, my Albion NXT is heavier than Masuri Steel but feels lighter when I wear it so overall I'm a happy man to buy Ayrtek, always wanted it, in green with crest can't ask for anything more!

Once again thanks to you for brilliant customer service and Riz.

I'm returning to my first love (cricket) not the wife after a few years away doing other things (cycling not prison).
I sold a bike and bought an Ayrtek Elite. (It's the dogs thingy's) and I can't wait for nets to start in January. Problem is I will be playing Vets cricket and am prepared for a bit of mcikey taking, going out to bat in a flash helmet. (Might even keep in it, might even sleep in it)
Can I post a picture of it   :)
