Does anybody have an issue with kookaburra bats as I personally have had one where the handle snapped and my friend has also had one where his bat broke in half. (By the way he did knock it in properly.)
No need to shout....

My mate had a blade 950, snapped in half after oil, knocking in and scuff sheet applied.

I have Blade 950, the bottom is very weak I should say. It gives you a vibration when the ball hits on the bottom. I'll never buy Kookabura again..

Were the bats made from English Willow or Kashmir Willow ?
-
I have seen a fair few English willow kooks break quickly that's why I won't touch them

It was a Kookaburra Beast 900.......definitely english willow...... :)

Canadian Willow :D

Only SG can answer that CD. It's does seem strange though that the price of English Willow is going up yet Kook bats are getting cheaper :)
-
Not getting any cheaper here in Oz James... Top of the range Kahuna $800 aud. $100 more expensive than last year....
-
The bats are getting cheaper to the supplier which allows for more profit.

Had two Kahuna 1000's this season - one probably the best bat I've EVER owned, but literally snapped in half after about 400 runs had been scored with it. Replacement bat - ball hits the splice which then dents and then cracks all the way across the face and round to the back of the bat. Just waiting on a replacement for it....
Kookaburra rep reckons that the first bat went because the splice wasn't put in with sufficient care - thought that was a bit strange as the it was the blade itself that snapped - couldn't see what the splice had to do with it? Could understand if that was the case with the second one though...
Doesn't look overly good for kook thought - two top of the range bats and both knackered.

dunno about this - had a Ricky Ponting a few years back that went through the toe fairly early on, but the customer service was bloody excellent and the replacement has lasted for about 1000 runs for teh guy I sold it on to. A couple of mates have had the handles go too, which was odd, but again have to say they were replaced, new for old, with no fuss at all.
