Post by: Number4 on October 09, 2011, 11:06:06 AM
Just been watching Victoria Bushrangers v Queensland Bulls in the national one day cup (50 overs) and notice Ryan Broad using one of these bats so I jumped onto their website to check them out and noticed something interesting..

Well it does say Carbon fibre stickers.... Ricky Pontings bat was just carbon fibre stickers wasn't it?

yes they are "carbon effect" not carbon fibre as it would be alot more expensive that that if it was actual carbon and wouldnt serve any purpose in such an arrangement

no ponting's bat was graphite backed i believe which was covering the whole rear of the blade rather than just sections.

Nice price !!!!!

I can't see them giving a performance increase like the kook graphite back did as they do not cover enough of the bat

graphite is much cheaper than carbon fibre and used in tennis rackets etc if carbon fibre was used it would drastically improve performance...or at least thats what the F1 boys who make our shells said when we discussed it!

Either way its only a carbon effect vinyl which is what Simmy used to wrap the dashboard etc of my car so nothing illegal in it

Ok so lets say they are Carbon Fibre stickers... I don't if they are or not but they do say carbon fibre not carbon effect... would it be legal?

The 1st grade captain at our club is sponsored by them, and it is very nice gear indeed! I wouldn't imagine they'd have stickers that weren't legal.

Kept trying to post but it kept saying "warning - while you were" etc. Bloody let me post, ahah  ;)

I'm not too sure about that roco... there were 2 guys on the inventors show over here and they invented a small oval shaped disc that attached to the back of the bat were the sweet spot is and it did improve performance

Carbon Fibre strip not very expensive to do something like that really anyway

I remember seeing that and their proof was rather iffy.

I've got the platinum labels on my old red label, it's just a carbon fibre look no inserts or anything like that.

I think there must be a market for shipping a load of £100-150 bats to Aus and selling them for £250-£300 on aussie ebay...
