Do you have a custom bat if so what?
I have a redback surefire and a Fusion Superbest! Both are super! 8)
-
Personally I don't have one but a friend of mine has a fusion superbest and boy does it ping. IMO its the pingiest bat I've seen in a long time.
-
i have a custom bat from v sports and is great all round
-
I actually dont have a custom made bat, but will be looking for one maybe next season.
-
i purchased a fusion sports bat this year. i went for the g1 model as i didnt have 200 quid for the superbest. been used as a lower order batsmen this season as i have been opening the bowlering so i have only used it on a few occations and the ping is good and pickup is fantastic very light and easy to play shots with.
i recomend custom bats to all!

Had a -
Fusion Superbest
Fusion G4
Redback
Laver & Wood Carbo Comet
Warsop Venom
Nicest looking was probably the Redback, but my favourite one is the Superbest. Using the Warsop currently as it's a tad lighter and has a lower middle, ideal for when those balls keep low.
-
No not at the moment, looking into getting one when my current bat gets too small for me. I really do like the look of custom bats though, will have to get with a lowish middle due to the fact that pitches in Devon keep low! :D

i have a custom bat, it wasn't custom for me but for a pro, but it is to the specs i would have given anyway
-
Wow everyone loves custom bats haha!
-
Yeah certainly love my Fusion SB!!!
-
yeah richie youre fusion looks lush!
-
Love my Fusion G1 will never go back to 'Off the shelf' Next bat will be a CE from Chris.
-
I ordered a Laver wood Heritage and it will be here in the next few weeks!! Cannot wait!
-
What specs?
-
I have a Redback, not custom, but handmade, and my god, does it go! I think it will be difficult for me to go to another bat maker after getting this bat off Gary, it's really that good.
-
I think I might have to look into Redback... I've only heard good things about them!
-
I am currently using a custom Laver and have a custom Warsop Platinum on order
-
I have a warsop platinum and it is beaut but I dont think it is that much better than my BAS
-
i do not have a custom made bat but have used a cf fusion in the nets v.good
-
I have a Laver&Wood Carbo Firefly - as per some of the above posts, had it made with a specially low middle to help with the slow and low northern wickets - it's awesome!
Nozza - were you not tempted to go with an MG2 since Marty makes the Aero bats?
-
No mate because the laver was cheaper and the shape suited me better
-
Aren't they both Custom Made, also with Marty Graham having worked under James Laver I'm sure they'll be able to do similar shapes as they'll have similar equipment.
-

can't argue with cheaper, but surely the whole point of custom is that you get the shape you want
-
I have a Fusion Superbest in my bag at the moment, hopefully by the weekend i'll have a CE bat in my bag. Got to admit i do like my Fusion, having met James and dealt with him when i was buying a couple of clefts, all i can say is i wish i had a fraction of his knowledge on bat making.
In the future i might be tempted with a Redback and Warsop just so i can have a look at styles and the performance. Like most i have a bat fettish! :o
-
That is very true tom however just like the looks of the Lavers and they are cheaper!!
-
I thought MG2 are cheaper.
Anyway i have a Laver and Wood Comet which is lush, 10/11 straight grains with 1 grain of heartwood, and a Laver and Wood Churchill which is pretty nice for a g2/3 havnt used it yet.
So custom imo are the way to go
-
I have a Fusion Superbest which i bought from someone and its pretty close to my specs.
I will get round to making a custom made bat for myself one of these days.
-
No lavers are cheaper i think.
-
Nah MG2 is cheaper, approx $140 NZD cheaper for the G1 level bat inc Knocking in.
-
Yeah I just looked on MG2 - batmakers choice works out around £200, though his prices don't include shipping where as James' do
-
Well i have bought a harrow so i think on comparision of G2 willow they come out near the same price dont they?
-
Yeah Fusion Superbest and it's a gun. Breaking though so need to make the most of it :)
-
Fusion Supra! Great bat but is on the way out will be done for by the end of the year for sure.
-
I have a Fusion G1 and its quite good but not at its peak yet ;)
-
geez noz arent tall are ya. what are you 15.
-
170 mate the size of my "Harrow" is actually SSH!
-
oh ok then. i just thought 15 and harrow didnt realy seem to match.
-
i have a CE bat coming soon
-
Same!
-

I'm 16 in 4 days, and I use harrow :D
And I didn't know Fusion had joined forces with Toyota - Fusion Supra?!
-
I have a Fusion Superbest in harrow and a custom Hunts County Insignia CC and I prefer the Hunts but neither are at their peak. Hunts probz had an unfair advantage as it was made in front of me so I could point out exactly what I wanted.
