Got some new trees in this week ,had a good day spliting willow in the yard ,will be some nice clefts next year ...

Must be so nice to work with something that you see the whole process through from start to finish. I'm sure some lucky punter will be enjoying using one

Can think of worst jobs to do! the trees come from about 5 miles away so its nice to keep it all local . I will post some more pics as i go along ,only split about 6 rounds today ,but all looking very promising nice straight even grains !

We have planted 80 willow setts last year  in about 15 years we will have our own.... These trees are from a local supplier
