Playing a mid week 20/20 game with only 7 players. We won the toss and batted first with the midset of doing well... but thinking if we got skittled out it would be quicker. Anyways managed to bat our 20 overs for 92, but given we were playing 11 we were not that hopefull.
Anyways they batted like complete muppets and were all out for 60, all they had to do was hit the massive gaps and run single after single. Instead they went for big shots and got bowled or caught!! Never been so shocked to win a game in my life

I didn't play but watched and scored as I was injured.
Anyway we batted first and were 27 all out.
Won by 4 runs..
11 vs 11

not so much one match, but 2 games...
we played away at Barrow (which is about an hour and a half journey) in the league. I was skipper and I had a shocking team - we were bowled out for 32, and they knocked them off with ease in around 10 overs.
we then drew Barrow away in the cup - travelled back up there with a team much nearer to full strength - stuck them in and bowled them out for 18! revenge was sweet! We knocked the runs off in less than 5 overs

fairly odd game, semi final of a cup so quite a big game. we got 160 odd off out 20 overs, we reduced them to 41-7, and instead of having a good go for the win, they declared! end of game!

Johnny you guys made Barrow look very good. We too played them this year and they were just about a average team and depended heavily on their opening pair and one middle order bat to get some runs.
Which club do you play for and in which league?
Having said that our team also gave away a few easy games in the beginning of the season - thanks to our club wicket and non availability of regular players . However, our club got a ECB grant and we hope to have better wickets next season.

we played against the best side in the league - they got 270 , i came in at about 60-4 , me and another guy took the score along to around 100 , we then lost a few wickets and were about 140-8 , me and our number ten put on 138 , i got out with 2 runs to get for 83 , our number 11 came in and ran a bye off the last ball to make the game tied ! was a classic !
