My knees hurt! does anyone use knee supports and do they help you? also which one should I go for?
-
I started to use one on my left knee this year, mainly to stop me getting massive friction burns when sliding as my cheapo trousers seem to be asbestos lined. Side benefit was that my knee felt better too as it used to ache after games - I'm quite a big bloke and not very fit.
I just bought one from boots for less than a tenner but it's done the trick for me. You can probably get loads better ones though. I always think the skins baselayer legging things would probably be good too but they're a bit steep.

Depends what it looking for it to do, iv used several diff types over the years. Is it patella stability ur after or support in general?
U can get ones with metal bars down the sides to add to overall support but plenty of options

I use bio-skin, top quality. You would be best to see what the actuall problem is with your knee first before so you know what one to buy. I personally would not go with the cheap blue ones as they gave me no benefit what's so ever, good luck.

You'll want a Patella strap then.

The ones with gel inserts are what i've used in the past. very good indeed!
