Which innings are you most proud of, whether it be an excellent ton, or maybe even a match winning 50, or lower, depending on the situation?
For me it would have to be the 50 I got a few weeks ago in the Welsh cup U15, where we were chasing 96 to win.
Either that or the 26 I got that took me 20 overs last season in a 2nds match, where I batted 8, going in at 40-7, but helped us to around 110, and more importantly used up overs, this as I was still a bowler, as I got a five-for in their chase! But this innings helped to establish myself as an all-rounder, which I now firmly consider to be!

Good Topic This!!
Mine has to be playing for the U15's in a Premier League Semi Final, 2 years above myself. I went in at something like 65-7. Managed to score 38 to get us into a defendable total of around 130 in the end! We ended up winning the match by 5 runs and I took the winning catch.
-
About 2 weeks ago when we were chasing 128 in 20 overs, i opened but wickets were falling all around me and i had to bat sensibly and bat through the innings to get a match winning 65 not out and win the game with 3 balls to go.
-
Hmm, well one of them would be when i came in 2nd ball of the game at number 3 against the 2nd best side in the comp, i held up our innings but got retired on 47 :( my other innings would be a similiar thing but coming in at 3 when the score was 5, i got retired on 52 that game aswell.
-
Um probably the best dig i have had was at the U12 Regional Final where I made 44 and put on 177 with my opening partner with our team chasing down the 222 we needed to win and helping the Sunny coast to its first Treloar Shield victory in its 25 year history
-
177?! How many did you partner get?
-
102!! Ha ha he nailed some huge sixes
-
thats a truck load of extras

I've had 3 real important innings in my mind:
1.) Got 7* batting against some of the most hostile bowling from a rapid West Indian bloke to take bonus points from a lost cause. Put on an unbroken 55 partnership with a guy who took them on with consumate ease.
2.) Chasing 133 in a 20/20 Cup Final and came back in having retired and put on 35 from 6 overs to win with the no.11! I finished with 39* and he had 4* in the last stand there were loads of byes it was great watching their frustration at the end.
3.) Had my rib cracked and batted on to make 28* and take our total to 154 which we defended and I tok 4-12 that day.

45 over match vs school 2nds. came in at 6 with 5 overs left us needing about 12 an over to win, got 22 of the 5 balls i faced after taking strike as i came in. Admitedly i got bounced out and gloved toed a hook to square leg 3rd ball of the next over, but with a strike rate of around
400
i like to think i made the score managable for our opener and we won that match on the final ball!
-
Yes quite a few wides but mostly leg byes and byes

Under 16s game at the weekend. Came in, 1 ball, hit 2 runs to give us 132 from 25 overs.
I then bowled the last over, them needing 10 to win, their retired (South of England batsman) 2 wickets away from coming back in.
After 2 singles, then 2 wickets, he came in needing 8 runs of two balls.
My AMAZING two yorkers only went for 2 runs each, leaving them 4 short.
Wooooooooooooooooooooo

Last season, was dropped from the 1's and wasnt scoring runs.
We were chasing 180 to win and I went in at 40/3 and saw two more wickets fall for not many. At roughly 50/5 me and the opening bowler set about the chase, I scored 86 and got to within 10 runs of victory before getting out! It was significant with having a long tail, after i got out we did lose 2 wickets but the other guy finished it on 45 NO.
Won match winning performance with it, put our team on an 8 match un beaten run to finish 3rd and miss out on promotion.
And also, 1 no one forgets there first 50 but mine was special, was playing in the hardball finals at The Oval when I was 11 and got 52 in 9.5 overs in a 10 over match! really special.
-
Well done sheeno!
-
urnmmmmmm
137 *
100*
80 odd *
79
65
and a hat full of 60's
-
Mine would have to be a 59* chasing 247 to win.
I came in at 6 with score around 90-4 off 21.(42 over game).
Me and Luke Watson (94) had a partnership of around 115. we won the game and finished not out lifting my bat on the walk back to the pavilion. This was brilliant as the whole 1st team was there and this game certified my place in the II's.
I've been opening ever since.

I was batting 3 for Middlesex vs Ireland,
we had a pretty weak team out tbh, it was half u13- half u13
So i came in 3 over of are innings, and i stood at the other end as my team started to crumble,
Ireland opened with a skiddy spinner, which was very hard to get away,
and a tall quick bowler who had a weird very quick armed action,
In his opening spell he took us apart, after about 8-10 overs we wer 18-4,
me and the number six battled through for ages, he didnt get many only bout six, but that wasnt the pount,
he was staying with me which was alot more than i can say for the others,
they bought more spinners, and medium pacers on which was hard to get away,
All i cud do was stay there, got a slice of luck as i was dropped a ball before drinks,
i brought up my 50, with the score on about 105 for about 7-8 cant remeber totaly,
we lost some quick wickets, and we wer all out for 117 i think,
with me scored 53, and batting 35 overs,
it wasnt my best inning runs scoring and shot wise but it was probly my toughest as i had almost no partners with me during it,
but we won the game, just with one of are bowlers getting sixfer,
one of my favourite games i have played in.
-
mine would have been a few seasons agowhen i was just 14....
the team were 90/9 with me batting at ten and the other lad who was 15 batting at 11.
we moved the score onto 210/9 each of us scorng our irst 50's
We both got most impressive performance with it.
-
Mine wwould have to be 2 school games. The more important one was when I batted all the way through the 20 overs for 29* when we were chasing 80 odd and the next top score was 10. The other one was when I scored my first 50 and put on 120 with my opening partner in 14 overs and when I got out for 70 we were 150 after 16 and ended up with only 170 and we lost off the last ball of the game.
-
everyweek I play a special innings the last time i batted I made only 19 but played the most elegant shots ever just lyk younis khan, yasir hameed n Virender sehwag
-
i enjoy reading your posts Majid - i can always do with a laugh - "i have the best bat on the forum" and "i played the most elegant shots ever" - should we be expecting to see your international debut anytime soon?
-
If Pakistani team was picked on merit I would be in the team by now but you know about politics in asian teams mostly not picked on merit.
-
if the pakistani team was picked by the number of bats owned you might be in the team - perhaps you can give us your full name and we can look at your statistics on cricinfo ??
-
Can we see a video of you batting please mate?

my most valuable innings was 80* when we were 37-5 and we got to 180 and got a point which was crucial in our relegation battle
-

-
last season i had 2 knocks that i was really proud of
http://ldc.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10772871 (http://ldc.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10772871) because it was my first ever hundred
and
http://ldc.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10772864 (http://ldc.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10772864) because i had to really dig in to get us up to a half decent total against the best team in the league on a cold windy day where it was hard to score runs
-
errrrrrrrm mine would be a very low scoring match!!
The day before it absolutly hammered it down so you can imagine everywhere being horrid!!
So the other team bat first and only score 98.
We then go out to bat with me going in at 4, loose a wicket 7th ball of the innings and then another soon after.
Me and another bloke put on a few before he gets out and I am left batting!
I bat with everybody untill i get out and the number 11 goes in. I only scored 22 but the fact I stayed there for about 24 overs helped.
The number 11 edged 1 fine with 2 balls to go and we won :) :) :)
-
mine would be in the last game of this season in a cup final. i opened the batting but with the score on 13 after 7 overs my partner was bowled for 4. the next wicket that fell was mine on 278 in the 35th over where i was caught for 114 after me and the no. 3 put on 265 for the 2nd wicket. we went on to win the final for the 2nd year in a row :)

mine was when i was 14 , i played in a colt game against the best side in essex , we bowled first they got 150 in 20 overs , i kept wicket , ... i stood up to our opening bowler and he bowled a full toss which hit me straight on the wrist ! ( hurt so much ) , i had to go off after 4 overs ... i was planning to bat number 11 and only bat if needed , but was talked into batting 4... i came up with 80 required in 10 overs and finished off unbeaten on 37*.... i could hardly move my arm so in my opinion was my best innigs... another was this season coming in needing 150 to win with 2 wickets left ! i scored 73* and our number 10 scored 68* and we ended up tieing the game !
