Stickers look great, bat looks even better! What model of bat is this just out of interest?
-
Get TMaxx to produce you some simple and classy stickers. Then you'll be in business Norby. Or even Gary at Redback hes decent.
Lovely bat.
-
Stickers look ok, but I would say they're a fair bit behind what I'd want professionally done and if ordering in bulk I'd still go to my regular sticker guys. But they're worth considering for one-offs and sample runs certainly, there's a few small stickers I forgot to order in India so may get them from these guys.
In terms of design I think they're fine and with a good manufacturer they'll look quality. A lot more innovative and different than most people do, most companies just adapt other brands stickers. They're just a little see through at the moment which I think detracts from the design.
-
The see throughness is more down to me asking them to be on vinyl and the way the blue is like a gradient colour... So that's not so much the guys there it is me ;D
Here take a look at it on white to see the gradient thing....
Sillyshilly it is a mix of Profile1 and 2 therefore a SAF Custom...
jandgcricket - This isnt a if you like the SAF design for my stickers. I like them and they're not changing for this season.... I don't like TMaxx's designs so no point going down that route, simple and classy isn't 2 words I'd use either [IMO]... and Gary can take a running jump as well ;D Bloody Redbacks :D

Blimey [clears throat] afternoon Gary ummm should you not be making bats :D
-
Actually...Yes....bye!!!! ;D
-
To be honest they look like adhesive vinyl printed off an inkjet printer...
-
i dont mind the sticker design but the bat looks a gud 'un
-
are they reverse printed norb?
-
are they reverse printed norb?
Nope they printed then baked to seal them...
-
Blue And White - Classy combination, Ill have to remember that for next time ;)
Theres nothing wrong with those they are all good designs, and the transparency isnt that bad. The gradient fill on the white backing with the subtle patterns also looks good so if you did change them nearer to that Id just have them trimmed up to leave an 1/8" white border and your finshed.
What are your profiles? ie 1, 2 etc
-
Cheers Glen, they look good on the bat as well a picture sometimes speak thousand words but only if it is taken well :D
Profile 1
Extra Thick edges, tapered to the shoulder and toe. Concaved for weight reduction but not extreme. Big spine from shoulder to just past the middle
Profile 2
A more classic shape cricket bat, medium size edge tapered to shoulder and toe. Slight concaving with a meaty middle.
Profile 3
A Twenty20 or sloggers bat. This bat is a standard men's short handle size in overall length but has around 3/4 to 1 inch removed from the shoulder of the blade. Additional willow is left on the edges, middle or both depending on the cleft. It is an end weighted [Low middle] bat for super fast swing speed and big hits.
The the SAF Custom - ie Whatever you want....
So a mix of Profile 1/2 as in big edges but has a classic back i.e. no concaving. Great bats to make and they go really well. I'm going to have a shake up of my profiles in a week or so and offer this one a valid profile and remove the concaving from Profile 2 I think.... I generally concave only to a #4 anyways as a happy medium, which means I can get an 1.5oz when I'm getting the weight down those last few ounces. I can go more extreme if required!!!!
I hate the last weighting bit and I often call Mike or Gary to see what they are up as distraction but the bat is still there waiting for 2oz's to be removed after the phone call.
That all said the customer is always right but I have been known to give people a bat that they didn't ask for because it will suit them better...but that is only to people I know!
EDIT: I just realized my profile 1 makes no snese - Big spine for the shoulder to just passed the middle.... hmmm maybe I do spend too much time in the pub
-
Whenever you speak to me your in the pub... not bat making!!!
-
oh my god I might be importing them....
-
oh the secret is out :D
