Title: pro bats
Post by: ktaylor94 on November 12, 2011, 08:24:46 PM
at the start of last season i ended up with a woodworm from the sports HQ, only because a brand new kook broke on me. this bat has like 17 bullet straight grains on it, and the ping is ridiculous. just thought it was abit to good to be a "off the shelf bat". whats the situation with pro bats? do they ever get sold if they get rejected?, just wondering if anyone can give me some info!

sometime you can get lucky with a perfectly pressed bat combined with an in form player.
yes it is possible to end up with a bat  rejected by a paid player, but it is just as likely you have ended up with a bat that suits your technique.

I've put the pics in for you mate :D. It does need a good refurb, I know when Gales used it he said it in a game he said it felt ridiculously good!!!!

I'll refurb it for you before next season/nets if you want. Let me know here or on fb

Although I've always wanted my bats to look like that, but I always replace or refurb them before that. Our opener has had his bat (GM Hero 909 with Scuff Sheet) for 3 seasons now, and it has so many cherries it looks like he's killed a man with it. The whole face is Cherry Red.

I used to have an old Woodworm Hard Drive I think it was called? Cost me £90 and had about 14 ruler straight grains on it... went like a gun too!

My first SH was a Hard Drive Gold at 2.9, 8 ruler straight grains before they went bust.

Are you referring to the grains going bust or the company? ;)

Both :L Passed it on to a guy at the club who didn't have a bat for a while. It had more tape to wood ratio and in it's last planned outing before the new bat was wielded, it exploded into many different pieces. "It's better to burn out than to fade away" was its thinking
