Title: Kookaburra Rogue Warrior
Post by: tbarnfield99 on November 27, 2011, 01:08:16 PM
Was lucky enough to get one of these for £66 including next day delivery which I think is a little bit of a steal.

Haven't had chance to weigh it, but as listed as 2lb 9oz, and it feels lighter than that to be honest. After getting rid of half of the unnecessary stickers, adding my grip setup and putting an anti-scuff on it I am more than pleased with what I have received.

9 grains which are evenly spaced and fairly straight with a few blemishes, and it knocks up surprisingly well considering the price.

The edges measure 30mm at their widest with the height of the spine being approximately 60mm. In terms of the profile I see some resemblance with my Redback Paradox, and this is what drew me in to start with. Will make a nice net bat / spare, here are some photos for you all (sorry they are not the greatest of quality).

On second viewing the pictures are horrific, will be investing in a DSLR in the not too distant future.

Yes from Mike on eBay. I just used elastoplast tape, if you have a really bottom heavy bat you can use lead tape, the same stuff you use on golf clubs.

What's your grip setup. Looks like half a grip underneath with a herringbone on top as well as the counter balance..?

That's it Johan!

Probably about a 6 on the ping-o-meter so far!

Will this be used second to your redback mate?

I think so mate. Will slowly knock this in and start using it in nets. See what the redback looks like when I get it back. The redback will take some beating though!

Realistically you wouldn't expect the kook to out perform the redback based on price would ya but sometimes you could be surprised lol

You never know I suppose! Will be a decent back up bat though. Will have to get rid of all the others now!
