Just received a replacement for a replacement of an original Kahuna 1000 which I had in June this year. Original bat was a gun, but literally snapped in half in at the start of August - replacement broke at the splice in September.
This new one has eight very straight grains, and has 12 and E stamped on the shoulder. Just wondering if anyone knows what these stamps mean? I would have thought the 1000 would have more grains - just a bit concerned that's a bit of dodgy stickering has taken place....

E = made for England
12 = made for 2012 range

looks cracking! not about the number of grains but how good they look - absolutely perfectly straight!!
-
the 12 will be the weight 2.12 oz

Mine had 11 and E last tear I emailed them and it was England and 2011 mate
-
my mistake then
-
Lol, we'll let you off mate due to your greatness in bat making skills

Oh well I can claim the idea was mine now ,I've started doing it on the shoulders of my bats !
-
Booom. Quality idea mate
-
Looks brilliant mate! Don't go after grains :)
I hope it feels well and I hope it serves you well!
-
Thanks guys - has put my mind at rest!

The more I look at it the more I praise.
My mate had Blade 950 and it was worst looking than Asad's 150 models!

Delectable :D
Just wondering: are all Kook high end models made in England and not by SG?

Actually you got yourself confused, it is Made for England not Made In England :)

That makes more sense; I was clearly stumped there :-[

Its definetly a 1000 due to the stragihtness of grains/no blemishes.
As reading said E is for England and 12 is for model. They did this due to the extremly high number of counterfeit Kookaburras going around, and so retailers no if someone brings one back which they arent sure about etc (Warranty wise etc)
