the thing is the bat is being sold from Banstead, which isn't far from Fordham sports - (I know the area around there pretty well)
the pink looks terrible - but if it is fake then the seller has gone to some lengths to make it look reputable with the extra fordhams stickers!
It might be ok.

Just had a look round the stickers on it are fake due to the fact that the back stickers should be further separated apparently

make sure you pay with paypal so you can get your cash back if it is a fake - and the lack of toe guard doesn't help the cause...
Sometimes it is worth looking at what he has bought on ebay via the feedback - not that he has bought fake stickers at all...

 :o oh.

Call eBay, rather than the resolution centre, get some advice from them.

Obv. its a legally binding contract but there are loopholes in this.

The Fordham Sports sticker is a nice touch, though (slow day in the office today), on a Powerbow, the area covering the red GN sticker on the reverse of the bat is flat, and only where the sticker ends does the ridge start - on 'true' powerbow bat images of the profile, you hardly see the red GN sticker on the reverse as it runs parallel with the face.

On the ebay bat, the ridge goes right along to the splice to the handle.

I could be wrong though.

Just looked at mine and the shape is completely wrong for that sticker set - those bats had the almost Jumbo like profile...

I might be on my own here.....

But if I was selling genuine goods, I wouldn't mind the seller being cautious. I, like them, wouldn't want to buy counterfeit goods!

If I was aware of a dispute on this, I would prove my innocence, e-mail confirmation/order/receipt.

You would think he would keep these, cos if it broke less than a year old you might need them to get a repair/replacement.

Or is that me being logical?

Bahahaha chip on someone's shoulder much?
So what if I speculated I'd fordham sports have their own scuff sheets?

Well said MD2812,
it's eBay, Shaq, you have a right to be cautious and rightly so

I'd be pissed off if I was the seller, whether it is genuine or not. Before buying is the time for questions, not after.

I'd be interested as to how he got stickers, if it is fake.

I know the website he got them from but Tom I sent him 4 emails over 2 days asking to remove my bid as I could noT on my phone he refused too as I had already asked questions and he was shifty about it so all am gonna say mate is think if it was you ,
I have told him I would still take the bat but he refuses to sell due to this topic
Title: Re: Just won this advice is it real

I wouldn't have bid on a bat if I had suspicions it was fake and if I knew where the exact stickers could be bought.

Where can you buy genuine Powerbow stickers and hologram from?

I'm still on the fence, I don't know if it's genuine or not. It looks decent enough as a bat, ignoring the stickers. Yeh the photos are (No Swearing Please). But it looks like an EW bat. And there are no dead giveaways as to whether it's fake or not.

Looks genuine enough and the willow looks decent. I think the only thing is that back bottom sticker. It just doesnt look "right"

Not sure about the stickers, I've haven't had a GN since a Dynadrive back in the day so I can't comment but the bat looks pretty good to me.

If I was the seller I'd be pretty annoyed. Hardly fair to start asking questions AFTER you've bought it. If you weren't sure you shouldn't have bid on it in the first place thereby allowing the seller to sell to someone else. And after you have won you should have paid for it and gone through with the deal. If, when you receive it, there is a problem then open a dispute etc but all this talk about it being iffy is hypothetical as you haven't even seen it in the flesh! For all you know it could have been the deal of the century.

Most unfair on the seller if I'm being honest.

I'd just like every one to get off my back ,
I followed through with the order and said would he just be honest as all I wanted was the bat really and he said no and then cancelled the sale so stop giving me grief I made it very clear in my fors post I was willing to pay for just the bat even if it was fake

If you were happy to pay and receive the bat either way (Which at that price is fair) then I think you are within your rights, and it makes sense, to ask this forum for a 2nd opinion. There is no denying that there is more expertise on here than the average cricketer knows.

Yes I was I only asked because I planned to send it of to gn and get the new powerbow stickers applied but didn't really want to send a bat that wasn't there's if you see where I'm coming from

Stickers definitely look fake to me... If you look at the grey one one the back that sweeps up it doesnt come up far enough next to the red GN sticker

Tell him to (no swearing please) off.

Silly (No Swearing Please) should find a proper way to spend his time rather than mugging buyers off on ebay with moody goods. If it comes on again I'm going to bid the (no swearing please) out of it on one of my accounts I save for dodgy purchases ;)

First up against the wall. After ticket touts.

Stop being a dick head. You started this topic saying you weren't sure that the bat was real and you'd like some advice. You hadn't even seen it, yet you'd bid on it. There is a good reason why everyone is getting on your back. You are the one who has eed that actually, it its your fault you are in the position you are. You have only yourself to blame.
Had you received it and complained then the situation would be different.

I am not in the wrong at all !!!
I wanted the bat !! Even if it was a fake I asked ni. The authenticity of the stickers he ignored it after the auction so I thought inwould get some advice on here ,
If you look Tim in every post I put that I was willing yo pay due go the fact I liked the bat , he is the one who cancelled the purchase he is the one who said I should not of asked you all on here , he is the one selling bats stickerd up he is the one who has been purchasing stickers and all sorts in his feedback yes I am partially in the wrong but is there any need to call me a Dickhead

Shaq, I think the issue is that you've bought and got the willies. Receive and complain, or cancel your bid early, but once you've won, it's a bit off putting out the claims until you've got some proof. I'd be pissed off if I was the seller! Especially if it proved to be real!

My feelings exactly. Either man up, pay for the bat and then question it if you have reason to or don't buy it in the first place.

I'm impressed he's gone to that length with the scuff. The Fordham's scuffs are fairly distinctive unless they've changed them of late, and this is far off the design and font.

Still ploughing through with the bat buying though.. ;)

To be fair, I think shaq has got the point now guys..
