David Warner Story.

Look at 0.44, solid drive there while batting right handed.

My favourite player at the moment

Have liked him since he burst onto the international scene. I'll always sit and watch an Australia game if he's playing.

He's awesome and looks like a big talent for the future. If he don't run out of partners. :)

his rise has been pretty spectacular - but it should be said his first class record this season has been awesome - ave something in the 70's and been batting for long periods of time.

His technique is also significantly tighter than other current aussie opening batsmen, not including Watson...

An opportunity when Watson is back fit to have a very settled opening pair for years to come in all 3 forms of the game.

Hey, we better be carefull, bigging up an Aussie, but I got to say he was very complimentary on the black cats when interviewed after the recent defeat.
Seems like a nice lad, wouldn't want to fight him either. :)

It must also be noted that first class form has been significantly augmented by a heap of 'first class' runs on the Australia A tour in Zimbabwe. Looked good in Bellerive second time up, kind of like a short fat Hayden.

ODIs and the giggle stuff, yes.
I think Marsh will open with Warner long term and (T)Watto will take Ricky's spot.

Even more reason for Punter to call it a day.

Like Hayden was just tall and fat? Warner looks like a beast.

Reminds me of this guy

I meant that he has a similar style to Hayden, but is stocky rather than a teak wardrobe. In future I should generally choose my adjectives more carefully.

Sorry mate wasn't meant as a dig at you. Warner is the Mini Me to Hayden's Dr Evil

Nice find mate, thanks for sharing.

I was one of those to criticize him but he proved me wrong, brilliant player.

I hope he never chooses IPL over country any day

I reckon they'd be better going for Maddinson and batting Watson at six personally.  Not that his batting is bad, but he is not a maker of daddy hundreds, to coin a team England phrase, and his bowling gives their attack balance.

awesome watching him strike the ball like that right-handed

Its certainly a unique talent to be able to use both sides of his body for batting fielding and bowling as most struggle using just the one side. Some of the right handed shots ie cover drives and lofted shots were pretty blinding.

its incredible he seemed to time the ball so well and the technique was sound
you wouldnt be able to tell if he was right or left handed seeing that

Warner's 102* in the Big Bash League. Watch from 5:45 - Very lucky to get away with that.

That is very fortuitous! Seemed to play well for the rest of it though..

Can't believe that Matthew Wade didn't even have a little half hearted appeal. Some good hits from Warner though. The bottom edge into the spuds must have brought a tear to the eye :(

Consecutive century's in Sheffield shield, test match & BB, what a player. Needs to keep the hype down in hos own head and bat with a clear mind. Nothing counts now except for what's produced on boxing day. He seems a very decent lad so I for one wish him well. The Warner/Cowan combo is very exciting prospect.

If any of you guys read R A Salvatore's book then you'll know Thibbledorf Pwent. Warner seems like that kind of character to me :), small guy in the pic
