RNS Plain 2lb 8oz 35mm edges. Contemplating weather or not I should have some weight taken off at the toe and keep it, or sell it as it is.

I would say sell it ;) Is the sweet spot little higher on this RNS?
-
Havent used it yet, but from the mallet, the middle is on the lowish side
-
Looks a very nice profile, hope you don't mind me asking where you got this from? I'm after an blank bat for nets.
-
Now I have looked at the pictures on my desktop, it looks like have a low middle. when I have looked at my laptop it was little different. Very nice profile..
-
I got it direct from RNS
-
Why have weight taken off an already very light bat?
-
I thought a 2lb 8oz would be light enough for me-due to a wrist injury. But having done some shadow batting I may need something even lighter
-
I wouldn't mess around with that one, best to sell and buy something else.
-
would a counterbalance help?
-
I wouldn't go much lighter than that mate.
Very nice profile as it is!
-
Ryan has suggested a counterbalance, so going to give that a try first. Have ordered one off the bay. I've already tried an extra grip, rolled up to the top of the handle. This has made a marked difference already, so I think the heavier counter balance may do the trick.
-
What have you ordered to use as a counter-balance?
-
aluminium adhesive tape

aluminium adhesive tape
Being one of the least dense metals, aluminium adhesive tape won't be very effective. You'd be better off with lead adhesive tape.
-
lead golf club tape works ok, you should put some plaster or cloth tape over it to hold it in place.
you need to be careful as it has an impact on where the middle is one the bat, sometimes this works better than others.
-
How much difference does the lead tape make? I Have a m&h solution which is (obviously) bottom heavy...

It has an impact on where the point of least vibration is (2oz at the top of the bat will move the point of least vibration 1in up the bat), but not on where the pingiest part of the bat is (sweetspot).
-
thanks for that guys. have managed to cancel the aluminium tape. Will the counterbalance move the middle higher?

It will move the place where you get the least vibrations (the place it feels nicest to hit the ball). The 'sweetspot' (place of best rebound) will not be affected. You may feel like you have middled it when actually you haven't that's the issue. Approx 2oz of tape at the top of the bat will move the point of least vibrations 1in up the bat.
I also would recommend taping the soon-to-be lead taped area with duct tape first so it adheres properly.
