making another grade 1 and almost shaped it with flat spine ( Lavers style ) without concaving and a very thick toe with concaving at edges. its 2.8 presently and still have to do sanding and handle shaping.

Looks pretty big for 2.8, and I like the shape - you should set up a company! :D

Very nice thaman; only question I have is where are you getting them pressed? Awesome job overall :)

thanks. these are pressed clefts from RNS and BAS.

I think the next step is to use them in the nets yourself and find out more about the performance. If everything goes well open your own brand and start selling these to the CBF members for a good discount. ;)

well I have 2 BAS blaster and RNS Grade 1's in my personal kit so I know how they perform. The bats I make right now are only for some close friends upon their specs. These are purely hand made as I don't have machiene sander and lathe for handle binding that takes a lot of time.

are you selling this one?

Looks awesome! Hurry up and get it done thaman, im keen to see how it turns out... Going to keep it without concaving? Hows the pick-up so far? :)
-
Hope that knot won't weaken the toe ... :(
-
Also, who do you contact to get your hands on these clefts mate?

done with sanding last eve and weight came down to 2.65 ( without binding) I think final weight with grip would be 2.85 yes it is without concaving and very meaty middle. it has very light pickup specially that flat spine helps a lot. thick toe is making balance very nicely ( also streching middle long ) will add more pics in couple hours.

How exactly did you get hold of the clefts? Did you contact someone at RNS or what? And how much did they cost? Looks like a lovely bat, what stickers are you gonna put on it?

its long story, bottom line is in case you have to get couple of clefts then its better to get from UK as it cost same including shipping from India.

Whats the grading system they use? Looks a fair few knots in the face. Is that a knot in the toe? Will that cause an issue? Shape looks good

I would say performance and willow density, I can certanly say its grade 1 as willow is very light and excellent rebound. I have BAS blaster from them with blemishes like that. yes is a big know in back toe but not coming all the way upto front so will not be a issue.
