Title: GN100...
Post by: tim2000s on December 28, 2011, 07:40:38 PM
I succumbed and bought one of these lovely bats. Mine weighs in at 2lb 9oz and having given it a protracted beating with a mallet, I am impressed. It actually has a middle and a surprisingly large one at that. It also picks up very well.

I know Simmy has one, but does anyone else, and if so, what do you think of it?

Funny weight...

Sorely tempted by one of these. Either this or a custom made. Wish I could afford both :(

So here is an interesting question. Yours had a toe guard. Mine doesn't. Does this tell us something about where they were made?

Good question, I have no idea where mine was made.

How do you know?
You dare to question asad???
They make hardly any bats in robertsbridge, especially bats that could be so potentially time-consuming as the scoop.

However, we know they made earlier ones there, so if there is a way of telling the difference I'd love to know what it is!

That's what is most amazing, especially given the weight!

I bet it would look awesome if you took all the stickers off and sanded it down to be blank.

What are the chances of seeing the Scoop being used on the  first class or international scene?

There's a link in this post to the GN channel on you tube that shows Mr peters very interested in one and Thebigginge seems to think they'll be used a bit.
