I succumbed and bought one of these lovely bats. Mine weighs in at 2lb 9oz and having given it a protracted beating with a mallet, I am impressed. It actually has a middle and a surprisingly large one at that. It also picks up very well.
I know Simmy has one, but does anyone else, and if so, what do you think of it?
-
Funny weight...
Sorely tempted by one of these. Either this or a custom made. Wish I could afford both :(
-
Got one for christmas. Pick up is amazing and as you say, surprisngly flys of the mallet.
-
Where's yer pics then?
I may pic one up in the next couple of days.
-
Sigh, just for you brucey...

Oh my life that is gorgeous

So here is an interesting question. Yours had a toe guard. Mine doesn't. Does this tell us something about where they were made?
-
Good question, I have no idea where mine was made.
-
both these bats are made in India

How do you know?

How do you know?
You dare to question asad???
They make hardly any bats in robertsbridge, especially bats that could be so potentially time-consuming as the scoop.
-
Nice bats! I wonder how the middle can be so long/big in these bats?
-
Forgot to say, lovely looking bats, cant help but be impressed by the sheer size of the blo*dy things!

However, we know they made earlier ones there, so if there is a way of telling the difference I'd love to know what it is!

That's what is most amazing, especially given the weight!

Any one else wishing they could join in on this game :(
-
Funny how GN changed the name after everyone started to call it a scoop...
-
It's always going to be the scoop....didn't Alex post up a pic of him shaping one previously ???
-
I bet it would look awesome if you took all the stickers off and sanded it down to be blank.
-
Think tomgoose had one that was stripped back bar sanding out the scoop

I doubt my decrepit old Sabre is in the same league as these beaut's :(
-
Hmmmm, funny how I've spent all my cricketing time huntin for bats with huge, humpy backsides, and now I am obsessed by something with such a skinny (No Swearing Please)!
-
What are the chances of seeing the Scoop being used on the first class or international scene?
-
Well if it was good enough for Brian Charles Lara...

There's a link in this post to the GN channel on you tube that shows Mr peters very interested in one and Thebigginge seems to think they'll be used a bit.

Twitter pic of one of the glammy lads with one wasn't there one the end of his line of new bats? Or may well have been walker of Essex?
-
I can't wait to see what the 2012 Dynadrive brings. Hopefully as much as the Scoop!
