Some kit there! What are the gloves in the top right of the picture with 2 middle fingers in red?

Hmmm I have quite a few , here's a picture from last year. Added a few since that picture and sold a few too. But soon to have one of the most exspensive bats in cricket. Reasons for having so many, simply love cricket bats. Appreciate the willow in my hands was grown for 15 years and handcrafted using skills which were mastered many many years ago. I dont smoke, I dont drink etc. Prefer to spend money on bats !

You keep telling yourself that
-
At the moment I have 3 with one coming back from brimble soon, I hope, and then one going to a team mate hopefully. I'll then use the bulldog for nets as our nets retain a lot of water. And take the ayrtek + talisman to matches
-
Have you used those newbery keeping gloves yet at all? What do you think of them?
seem to be of typical newbery standard. i normally prefer the slightly bulkier GM ones but for £25 you cant go wrong i think. they bloody stink as well tho lol.

A Sikh mate of mine has texted me from India informing me he has bought me an SS LE bat in 2.8!
Anyone got one that can tell me what they are like?
-
They are good bats no doubt, specially for the price; the sweetspot is a little low and the pick up will be like other SS bats. Overall a very very good bat for the price. Once you start using it you will realize that SS bats pressing is quite good!!

I have never used an SS bat, so no idea what the pick up will be like.
If the pressing is good, then that is a great start!
-
Pick up is never a strong point of SS because of its low sweetspots; I have not used the Platinum or the Gladiator ranges so not sure how those pick up. The handle will always be round and a little on the thin side.
-
Ask Asad about SS pickup on the Glads and other models, as he hand picks all his bats.

Dunno, I have a couple - one an old match bat and one very much a net bat - and both of them pick up really well. Yes, the sweetspot is on the lower end, but they don't "feel" the dead weight particularly - indeed, you'd never know that the match bat was 3lb 4oz dead!!!
Agree that the handles are not the best though - they're really three grippers!
-
I did not mean the pick-up will be bad always, but in my experience it normally leaves a little to be desired. The strong point of SS is the quick ball response.
-
i've got a couple of SS plat reserves from Asad and they are both outstanding, 2.10, decent amount of wood though a lot of concaving, picks up as light as anything else i have in that weight and way better then a Ton le in the same weight, and better than a salix in the same weight, middles look a little low, but play very long actually, my only complaint would be round handles, i prefer ovals
-
Oh no!!

The domestic cat (Felis catus or Felis silvestris catus) is a small, usually furry, domesticated, carnivorous mammal. It is often called the housecat, or simply the cat when there is no need to distinguish it from other felids and felines. Cats are valued by humans for companionship and ability to hunt vermin and household pests. Cats have been associated with humans for at least 9,500 years, and are currently the most popular pet in the world. Owing to their close association with humans, cats are now found almost everywhere in the world.
-
So the person has four and a half bats?
Four of those stickered and a half black cat?
