Not the only one. I have a mixture of both LH and SH and also LB.
My current favourite bat is a LHLB...

There's only two people who like high middles, and yet I find that there's a lot more high middled bats on the market than low middled bats.

Valid point - I find if I go in a retailer and ask for a LH, heavy with a lower middle they have very littel to show, yet lighter and higher middled there is plenty. Even playing on one of the best and quickest tracks around, I would not want to face club bowlers with a middle right up under my armpit!
I suspect this is one of those areas in which the major brands are out of step with the recreational game - the likes of an Amplus is probably great for AN Other county opener who regularly has to pull an attack of 80+ seamers but would be as hard as hell for an average club player to use!
-
Weight - 2.8/9 (More depending on pick-up)
Number of grains - 7+
Middle position - Mid to Low
Short handle/long handle - Short Handle
Oval or Round Handle - Oval
Heartwood/no Heartwood - Not Fussed
Butterfly knots - None
Would trade most of that for the perfect pick-up.

Perfect bat is a myth. I am sure no one on this forum has ever found a bat that is perfect, but many have bats that are close to being perfect.
My perfect (oops!) My Ideal bat would be:
1. Grains: 9-12
2. Pick-up: light/medium
Weight - not fussy as go more on pick-up, but 2lb9oz - 2lb11oz would be ideal
Handle: SH, Semi oval, slightly thicker at the bottom
Middle position: Mid to Low (100mm-220mm from toe upwards)
Pressing: Slightly softer than shop pressed bats
Toe guards: not a fan of these things
Grips: Chevron, GM Control or the new Kookaburra Max grips
Butterfly marks: great if they are 0.5-1.0 inches from the toe, just makes it more tough :)
