Title: What grill/helmet combos work?
Post by: alexrickyponting on January 05, 2012, 04:42:14 PM: Just received my masuri shell, ayrtek grille seems to fit but there is quite a small gap between grille and peak thus exposing some of my chin, would mind too much in may but have fast and bouncy indoor nets starting tuesday!

I've seen a few comments on ayrtek grilles fitting other helmets but though we could make a list based on user experience, ie what companies grilles fit on albion helmets etc, and how well? Firstly what titanium grilles fit a masuri? Thanks

also a masuri with ti grille weighs the same as an albion club mark lid with an ayrtek grille, which works well, 629 gramms

I tried an ayrtek grill on a mk2 helmet and found the gap to be too small - even at the widest position.

Hmm that's strange considering an Albion titanium grill works on an ayrtek helmet

yes your right, I did also try the mk2 grill on an ayrtek helmet and it did fit and could get a correct gap.

The ayrtek ti grill i had was an older revision (small clearance on the chin area) so i'm not sure if that had anything to do with the relative positions.
