Title: Wheelie Bag recommendation
Post by: FvanN on January 09, 2012, 08:57:42 PM
I'm in the market for a wheelie bag but with so many to choose from i don't know which one would suit my needs.

Would like to get two bats in it as well all the softs and lid. A few extra sections for boots and wet gear would be nice, I hate spending money on a bag so if its new then a £50 price tag should cover it. (I hope)

Do like the look of the H4L bag but there are none in stock :(

So what's everybody using?

In that budget I think you can get a SG Maxipak; decent bag.

Also from personal experience the zippers/chains are normally not very reliable on CA bags.

The thing with Pakistan stuff is that they are very cheap so you get what you pay.

Covert how much a top of the line Pakistan cost compared to lower end English.

I would personally vouch for Salix as they look class in my opinion

Ayrtek. Can't go wrong.

2 separate bat pockets, pocket in the top for whatever and plenty of room for the rest

Right I have found the bag that suits my needs but I don't want a GM one, anybody know of another supplier that does the same kind of thing?

Like Colesy mentioned previously I think the Ayrtek wheelie make tick your boxes. I've got one and it's very big with separate compartments and 2 padded bat covers. The addition of a 3rd wheel also makes it very stable.

Did have a long hard think about this one but its just to big for my needs and wont fit in my car's boot.

In the end I bought one of these

Mate i got

RH Batting pads x 2
RH Batting Gloves x 2
Helmet x 1
Thigh Guard x 1
Bowling boots x 2
Batting boots x 1
Bats x 4 (But will have more this season)
Misc items (Tape, sanding paper, mallet, grip cone, grips etc...)

Bats is the only reason i am moving/ wanting to move to a bigger size. I dont like my other gear around the bats. But i can still fit every thing in albion comfortably, very solid bag and lots of room, I am just worried that with the arnd 8-10 bats it might not work for..
