Hi!
Has anyone on the forum bought this bat yet? Would really like to know what people who own one think of these bats.
Found these going for cheap @ Lorimers Cricket. They are selling on eBay for £240 posted, but given my previous experiences with them they knock-off roughly 5% from the eBay price. Again if these are as good as they are being projected to be then, worth a gamble for £230??

I thought so but was not sure as lorimers had their watermark on it. I remembered seeing this picture somewhere and they looked very your style of taking pictures :)
-
I had bad experience with that seller.. He told the bat is 2.9lbs and found out that it is 2.6 lbs. I won't trust the seller Peter123dabba.
-
Dont forget that he has over 25,000 positive feedback on Ebay which is outstanding
-
I don't think any buyer will get any of the bats he is showing in the photo he has copied and very cleverly put his web address on it
-
Will call him tomorrow to see if he has any of the photographed bats in pictures or has he sold all of them!!
-
Bit of a naughty thing to do and I must say quite surprising as Lorimers have a very good reputation to my knowledge. the second I saw that pic I thought I recognised it.
Asad - you should ring Lorimers up and offer to sell them the bats in the pic! It would be a good way of making your point! :D

Spot on! Asad you have to call them, id be really annoyed if i was you but this would be a great way to let them know that you are on top of it.

Good Point will call them to let them know that if they wany any of the bats in the photos i can provide them.
At least they recognise that How good our bats are. If i am spending that kind of money i want to see what bat i am going to receive

Asad, please feel free to PM me regarding your intellectual property. You own it, it cost you time and money to source/ take photos and market the bats.
I too deal online and have numerous images stolen from eBay/ out own websites, we have an arm of the company that deals just with intellectual property.
Sorry for jumping on the thread.
David.

Hi Bruce,
I own a real estate business and I take pride in taking the best photos of properties that we market. I invested heavily in cameras, lenses etc and I usually go out in the evening/night to take photos of properties as the results are quite dramatic.
I have lost count of the amount of times someone has appropriated my photos and used them on their advertisements. Even when I email offending agents that they are using my photos - they simply ignore my emails.
I have long thought that the cost of persuing far outweighs the end result.
Or am I wrong?
Kindest Regards,
Vic Nicholas
P.S. Sorry to hijack this thread, but what has just happened to Aqureshi has touched a raw nerve with me.
-
That was exactly why I was annoyed with Lorimers! I have an estate agency in Spain and we get other agents nicking our photos and descriptions all the time but there is little one can do and its certainly not worth the time and money chasing them. Its always important to make the call though and speak to the culprit.

I have sent him an email asking why he has used my photos without my knowledge

Is copyrighting/branding your images a expensive option?
-
Not really, I think i need to start doing that. Thanks for the advise

Asad

They have replaced the photos

I can see why they used yours... stock pics are rubbish!
