Title: Small man / Academy size cricket bat
Post by: mad_abt_cricket on January 23, 2012, 08:25:14 AM

Can anyone tell the exact size of a Academy size cricket bat. My height is 168 cm and I am thinking to get one.
How short it is as compared to a SH bat ? Is it the blade shorter for such bats or the handle as well.

Thanks, but this chart only mentions the size of the player. Not sure how much short is the Academy size as compared to SH.

About 2 to 3 cm short blade. The handle seems normal but thin on my bat.I bought one of these.

Sorry to revive an old topic but as I'm the first to suggest people use the search function so I thought it best to practice what I preach  ;)

What's the difference in size between a short handle & academy bat?
Mainly looking at blade height and width compared to a short handle.

I believe the width will be standard 4 1/4" or 108mm and length will be in between a harrow and SH so 33 1/8" or 841.375mm.

Oh, handle will be a SSH or SH depending on preference.
