Title: something that's elevated itself to match bat status
Post by: Sherpa75 on January 23, 2012, 02:02:39 PM
After digging around Asad's knowledge and cricket bat inventory and after the exchange of a few paypal pounds which seems increasingly like monopoly money, this little beauty found it's way to my door through a courier who is starting to call be by my first name, such is the regularity that Asad seems to provide unmissable bats.  The stickers are far from my liking and the bat may become a prime candidate for a set of pink lion revolution stickers provided by Buzz, but the bat is stunning.  One of Asad's own clefts and shaped by the hands of Mehnga Ram's son, a true Tendulkar profile with relatively large edges and absolutely no concaving at all.  The bat picks like a dream and the reaction off the face immediately has put it to the top of this years match bats

get those Revolution stickers on that bat !!!

Failing that, if you remove the 2 lightening bolt stickers from the back i think there would be a significant improvement in the stickers

i know Johnny, i think it's lonely, might have to get Asad to dig out another.  In all honesty i didn't think i was going to like it, but it's very quickly become my favourite bat shape

Another beauty to that ever expanding collection. Did Asad not have a twin for you?

I also have one of Asad's own clefts (BAS again) and the more it gets played in, then more responsive it is becoming!! Pedals McGrew and Roco tried it and considering it's barely knocked in and the willow is only just starting to open up, it is already feeling extremely special!!
But it's very annoying as whenever I starting thinking that I may have my match bats sorted out, Asad seems to throw a spanner in the works!!  :( Nice position to be in though!!

I wouldn't change a thing. That looks just about the perfect shape bat.

The front sticker is fine, back one's aren't bad enough for me that I would have to get rid of them.

Judging by the sound of it, I'd keep it as is and let the performance do the talking.

Looks amazing, I rate BAS quite high. In my opinion they are best bats from India.

I hope this serves you well, is the handle thick oval/round?

Nice looking willow, But the stickers are awful, Indian & Pakistan brands need a simple approach to their stickers

I have had a few SS bats and a couple of them have been absolutely superb! But I must admit that my last couple of BAS bats have been (No Swearing Please)-kickingly good!  :o

Looks a beauty, I've had a couple of plain BAS bats of Asad in the past and they responded magnificently well.
