Any ideas why some scuff sheets cause the willow to go yellow?

Willow ages in sunlight, but I suspect that if the bat is not that old then it is likely to be the glue causing it.

Gonna say, it can't be sunlight; said bat has been used once and kept in the garage since.

No. The bat has never been oiled or anything
