Alright amigos: I have two questions for you guys.
a) It might sound silly but nowadays my grips seem to move up rather too frequently for my liking. I normally use two grips and invariably after a longish session they seem to break free from the tape holding them in their place and they end up moving up along the handle exposing those strings. Why is this happening so frequently? Any pointers? :-[
b) Is there anyway, I can get those back down without having to re-apply them again from scratch? Pulling them down from the raised to their original position never ever works for me. So any other technique you wanna share?
Thanks guys :)

I get mine right then super glue the end and never moves
I roll up then roll down and seems to lengthen
-
as roco said at the bottom of the grip..
put a tiny blob of superglove at front and back of grip.
if u dont wanna do that just roll it up and down again at the bottom it will stretch :)
-
Your grips are too dry, moist them up, take them off and wrap in a wet towel so they get a bit of moisture.
Also don't keep bats/grips at a dry place.
-
What ever you do don't use superglove! I find superglue works better haha
On a serious note dont use loads, just a little blob on the front and back will do.
-
Thanks guys! So it has got nothing to do with a vicious bottom hand grip then? I was thinking that maybe something suddenly went awry about the way I am holding my bat :(
Superglue time and then a not so dry grip on it :)

haha no ryans its all about superglove lol

I was always of the impression that the grip riding up did mean you use too much bottom hand.
..or it cold also mean that you haven't superglued it!
-
It all depends how stretched the grip is. If it really stretched then it's going to ride up. But superglue does help!
-
sounds like you have two issues - the bottom hand grip and how you put the grip on. when you first put the grip on you should make sure is is a little long and it will shrink a bit.
also how often do you change your grip? they should be changed relatively regularly.

Just to clarify, this last point has nothing to do with how a worn grip might affect your grip or technique, but more to do with the fact that as a memeber of this forum you are obliged to keep up with the latest grip trends!!! :D

Thanks Buzz.
Dont worry Johnny-- Sam will attest to the fact that I am very much gripped by new grips ;)
