Azhar Mahmood signed by Kings XI for $200,000.
Excellent potential H4L coverage, provided he plays! Will the Tempo match his new team's colours?
-
I thought pakistani players were not allowed in the ipl?
-
they've found it difficult to ecure visas in the last couple of seasons and faced some snobbery for theteams themselves, but there is no outright preclusion. Bear in mind as well that Azhar has a British passport...
-
Azhar burst onto the test arena with 3 test centuries in 3 test matches against SA against Donald / Pollock et al. For me his international career didn't take off. Rana Naved, Yasir Arafat would have walked into other international sides. It's amazing how prolific these guys are in county cricket yet can't make the cut internationally.

He won't be with H4L when he plays in IPL, I'm sure.
He will be picked up by one of Indian brands most likely.
-
You say that with a lot of confidence...
-
Yes! Mate a Indian brand will offer him some cash along sponsorship and there he goes :)
-
Depends how long and what his H4L contract covers. You can't just walk out of a contract and sign with someone else.

Thats something I'm not sure of

Can a company buy off another one's contract? Both the parties need to agree of course.

Yeah thats just a new contract formed which means that if agreed the old one can be terminated.

I am sure H 4 L will have him tied in to all cricket as they are his bat company however depending on his TV appearance bonus they may release him for the IPL as there are loads of TV games and it isnt cheap. It all depends on the relationship with the player, exposure they want and type of contract. As it is not an ICC competition that doesnt come into it as some brands have players who suddenly play in ICC tournaments but have to use another bat company as you must be ICC registered for the kit to be used.
-
it will be a shame if it doesnt get used,
but from reading the artical that was wrote about him and h4l,
hes seems very supportive of the small bespoke bat makers!
-
good to see him top scoring using his H4L in the BPL

how come the branding has to be removed on the gloves and bat :(
-
Contract over?

Looks like his visa to India is all sorted now, lets hope he gets to use H4L in IPL instead of generic stickers like reebok or nike...
