Does anyone know whether Ballance is English qualified or still available for Zimbabwe? I know he has played for Derbyshire and Yorkshire, but it seems strange that a guy with an first class average of nearly 55 and a list A average of nearly 57 isn't playing for Zimbabwe.

He is a serious player and I have been following him over the year or so. He is well able to score hundreds and I have been very surprised he has not been capped yet by Zim so there must be some English influence somewhere

Good subject mate. I feel he may want to qualify for England so choosing not to play for them if he has been asked...

I'm surprised that the Zimbabwe board let him play as a non overseas player then. As he's keeping a player commited to Zim out.
Looks an amazing talent though. 10 hundreds in 31 matches

Could be similar to Ervine who I was reading yesterday had agreed to play for Zimbabwe then Hampshire talked him out of it.
About to qualify to play for England

1 hundred in 16 matches for Yorkshire, 10 50's , average @ 41 is more relevant

Average of 41 isn't too shabby. Needs a couple more hundreds though.
