Title: India announce 15-man squad for tri-series and Asia Cup

Squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt & wk), Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Sreesanth, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, Piyush Chawla, Pragyan Ojha.

V. young squad.. most of them had a good ipl season so far  8)

Obvious missing players: Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly...  :o


Any thoughts??

Why aren't the "big 3" being picked! :o Could it be the end of the line?

Tendulkar i cant believe isnt playing but think he Indian selectors and dhoni think youth is the way to go. I also think the selectors have looked at ipl form as yusuf pathan and Pragyan Ojha have had good season as has raina.

Well, the BCCI picked this squad for the Tri Series in Aus and it won, so why change a winning team? But I think against Pak, high pressure situations, I'm not covinced they have the temperment to compete. Maybe Ganguly should be in there, one of the top 5 ODI player in the world, in good touch and btw Tendulkar is injured, so his dropping is because of that..

ganguly and dravid havent been in the team for ages. tendulkar was in winning aus side but i reckon he's retiring from ODI's. and not too far away from complete retirement bar the ipl. dravid and ganguly wont be back in unless india have MAJOR     major problems
