These pads looks really nice.

How big is the top hat in comparison to the Morrants? I find it occasionally gets in the way.

They look great, when will they be on sale and any ideas on the rough price?

Also are they going to be similar material on the front to the morrants or have they got a pu fronting?

There are only few brands that do pads in retro white colour and they are a tad expensive. They look really classy.I wonder if you could the traditional pads in retro white. Though I am not sure if it's much in demand. :)

great from the front but i always buy pads that are not white on the inside due to my sweaty legs - unless internal pads can be removed for washing - might be something worth considering.

just come back from a net with Mr blank bat.
he had two 2020 bats which were astonishing.
but that is an aside.
the softs are significantly better in real life than the pictures. The gloves especially compared favourably with my gm le ones and the pads offered excellent protection and they needed to with the hopping around Canners was doing... out 4 times in his first 6 balls... anyway I wad very pleasantly surprised.
those bats of his phwwoorr

Buzz what happened to......

rule 1 about barn club, you do not talk about barn club haha

i'm glad you loved the soft goods, im very very pleased how they came out. I seriously think people will struggle to match the quality of our softs for the price.......

oh and that T20 bat is something else, what a pick up....

Tim you couldnt handle this bat ;)

Canners didn't have a demo bat irritatingly but I haven't picked up a bat that screamed runs like those 2020 bats for a while.

I tried the pads, now I am not usually a fan of the modern style of pad, but these are of high quality and good fit. they are also good to run in, and light.
they will take some wearing in however.

How much are you willing to pay? I haven't spoken to him about his sponsorship deal, but it can't be that old as he has only recently moved to GM from Newbery. :o

Plus he has to like a company's logo, so you will struggle there too...  ???

The stig doesn't even know pittards leather when he see's it, so I'm afraid our kit would be wasted on him ;)

Haha thanks for replying! I appreciate it :).

I quite like the fact they have PU facing so if they get dirty then they can be easily cleaned.

Stig has moved to Newbery? :O I guess he want to become a classy batsman like Ian Bell perhaps :D  ;)

Time for him to join M&H club :D

no, the stig has only recently moved from newbery to gm.

and with canners poor chat he won't be signing to 66 for the srilankan2020 competition which he is trying to get a contract in (mrs stig didn't want to go to Bangladesh ahead of their trip to the ipl

Right then - a little update on these. as you all know, I am a proper batsman now, so my reviews carry a certain amount of gravitas.

I tried a pair of these out on Friday, during a net. I have to say, I was never bothered by this type of pads, I thought they were a bit poncey and over the top.

My initial reaction is that they are seriously light, and very, very comfortable - I really couldn't have predicted how different they were.

I even tried a couple of something called 'runs' after hitting the ball, and there is no problem with the whole 2 strap thing and the pads slipping. They also take the impact of a ball fine, when you miss it - as Canners ably demonstrated.

As much as I dislike praising Canners for anything, these are very nice, and I kind of 'get' this type of pad now. If you are looking for something light and a bit different, these are well worth a look.

(The Cat would like to make clear he receives no renumeration for these reviews, only snacks)

I agree they look great, wish I'd waited and bought some of these but will have to use my GM LE D3O pads now as they didn't sell.

Only thing I would change is the colour of the interior padding just do it doesn't get marked by sweating - not that I usually bat long enough to sweat much of course.
