Title: RS Robinsons
Post by: FattusCattus on February 09, 2012, 09:43:09 PM
anyone had any dealings with them or any experiences of their willow?

I'm pretty sure they make for some other brands, just unsure of their quality?

lol!  :D

I've always thought of Robinsons as decent bats myself, only used one but it went as well as anything I used that season. Don't know why though but I always get confused between RNS Larsons and Robinsons....Is there a link between the companies ie like SS and SG????

Yes indeed Matt - 2 posts on the bats, and 25 posts on Prossies - what does that say about this forum?

I'm worried about PM7 though!
Title: Re: RS Robinsons
Post by: PedalsMcgrew on February 09, 2012, 10:14:40 PM
And Ayrtek then casually mentions their supply of 'sorts' to him and look where we are now! Don't know about you guys but any bat manufacturer who can not only supply decent sticks but ropey ladyboys deserves a bit more attention on this forum! It is a rather admirable usp..... :D

If only there was some
2 posts on the bats, and 25 posts on Prossies
If only there was some way of combining the 2 in a glorious yet legal bat/boob fiesta. Lady boobs by the way, not ladyboys.
Oh no I fear I may have said too much  :(

Can't say I've used one myself but I hear good things from people who have. Only.downside I see is the horrific UK webpage and stickering. Don't they provide bats for other manufacturers as well?

ahh - but any good Buzzard?

given you know me well, am I the kind of guy that gives a brilliant bat to a mate or who keeps it...
I used it a few times in the nets and couldn't find the middle :o

Well who'd a thunk it!

Picked up a cheeky little Robinsons at 2.9lbs - 38mm edges, and a chunky little bugger with an ugly face (rather like my good self), but lovely pick up and balance.

And you know what - had a little net with Buzz last night and the bat is not bad at all! Not outstanding yet, but definately pinging and has potential. For what I paid for it, it's big and got a good middle. Even Buzby had to give it a bit of credit after he actually hit a couple (I was bowling well last night!).

Yup - very similar shape to Caribee, but bigger profile and a few more, straighter grains and an oval handle.

Fortunately, a similar price to Caribee!

Yeah, I like their stuff - thigh pads are good too. Just not an often mentioned OEm brand such as RNS Larsons or SG.

They used to do a copy of the SS Jumbo called the RS Rage, but I haven't seen one anywhere for ages.
