Ronchi has decided to follow Dean Brownlie's lead and has quit WA to head over to NZ in a bid to play international cricket.
A few years back he played a few ODI's for Australia, but indifferent form in shield cricket lead to him being left out of the 4 day game, and he only recently got back in. He had still been the List A keeper for WA.
NZ haven't really got a shoe in keeper atm, so he may fill a need for them assuming he can perform domestically.

I read that earlier. interesting move. i had the pleasure of watching him blast it around at the waca in 2006. hits a decent ball. McCullam and Ronchi could be dangerous. Would need to find some form first. Hes brave ill give him that

I remember him from his stint in the IPL with the Mumbai Indians. Really did not set the world on fire back then though the general opinion was that he was a very explosive batsman. Good luck to him!!

Ha there I was asking about him last week. I'm guessing if he finds the form he puts himself in to contention.
