Hi guys, going against the general consensus of opinion on the forum about fusion dying out slightly, i have just bought 2 bats off James and Bill today and...WOW! they both have edges over an inch thick 9-11 grains, I cant speak highly enough about them!!!! They both weigh in at around 2lb 8/9oz but they pick up like an absolute dream, hardly feels over 2lb 5oz, and they go like an absolute train!!!!! Will be uploading some pictures tomorrow. Lastly, the service that they provided was top notch, James wasn't there when we arrived, was with another client i think, so Bill let us in, made drinks chatted, just an amazing service and i cannot recommend these guys highly enough! This is my 3rd time buying from James, and I will DEFINITELY NOT be switching to any other brand any time soon. Great job guys, keep it up!

Are these the grade 1 bats on offer at the moment. I had heard (not confirmed) that their bats were now subcontracted, as opposed to being made by James like they used to, so different to the superbests we all used to love
-
No these were two of the bats he used for shows, so they were the top of the line bats. They are all still made by James, not sure where you heard that from but its definitely not true.

Get some pictures up buddy!

This is the slightly lighter one

sorry about the poor picture quality, had to use my phone because camera is broken.

Look like a couple of nice sticks mate :).
A guy at my club had a couple that split straight across the back, about 2 inches below the splice.
And tbh, IMO they weren't that good looking either. These look a lot better than the ones he had a couple of years ago!
-
Really? I'm very surprised I have never had any trouble with any of my fusion bats, but every time James has improved the quality of his bats and I hope he continues to do so!
-
and thank you!
-
He may have just been very unfortunate and got a couple of bad ones.
After all it is wood!
No worries mate, lovely looking bats, I'm sure they'll score you many runs
-
true! they are only wood! Hope so...the ping feels amazing off a mallet and with a ball, the real test comes later tonight- taking them to club nets with me
