Hi Guys,
I am planning to get my personal stickers made for this season. As of now, I am thinking of stickers with a mirror finish or reflective (stickers like those on Warsop bats) or chrome stickers.
Colors shortlisted are: Blue or Dark Red or flaming red/orange
Concept: Front Stickers with my intials YVK and a picture
Back stickers with the words "ilmonstro" (meaning "The Monster") or "Predator" or "Stinger" or
Toe sticker with a flaming cricket ball with my initials "YVK"
Basically I would like the stickers to convey my style of playing which is to jsut go after the bowlers and play my shots, power and wild instinct. (may be I am playing the wrong sport;))
Any thoughts guys??
Also I want to get a set of toe stickers designed for my club (which will go on to the bats of all 1st and 2nd XI players). What should be the phrase
- Prestbury Lions
- Prestbury Warriors
- Prestbuty Cyotes
- Prestbury Knightriders

dear Yash
where you going to get them from and how much does it cost?
id be interested...a set of custom stickers i had didnt last a game as the
custom design was printed on the outside and simply came off when the ball hit the splice
?

a club mate owns a designing and branding business. He will help me design and get top quality stickers printed. Not sure of the costs but I guess, it will not be a rip-off.
Depending on the costs I may get the printed either locally or by AdCal.
-
I'd be suprised if AdCal or any other mainstream sticker manufacturer did just a single set and if they did the prices would be astronomical. You're best off trying someone like www.cricketbatstickers.com (http://www.cricketbatstickers.com) or Rooney Sports
-
I think I will get about 20 odd set printed.
Thanks for the lead Tom, guess these will be really helpful considering you had your designed and printed.
-
the initial costs are for the cutters and the set up, then the more sets you have done ,the lower the price. Also depends how many colours you want and how they fit on the area of there sheets .

Ok for 20 sets AdCal probably will do it and are certainly worth a go. I only initially ordered 50. May work out around £8 a set though.
-
Thanks Tom.
Any suggestions for the name or design concepts?
Where did you get ur stickers designed and how much did you pay?
-
50 sets done by AdCal for around £5 each. Found somewhere in India to do them cheaper though.
I would say these stickers being quite personal it would be firstly interesting to see an initial design on paper, then maybe can make some alterations for that. But I would see there being little point in me giving names etc, as it would be a sticker to represent you and how you play. And I've never seen you play!

Just a note to say I've split this topic as there were a few questions asked on Itias and I don't want to steal Yash's thread too much, for the Itias thread please refer to:

Hi Guys,
Got my personal stickers designed today. Looking forward to your thoughts and suggestions.
The beasts face will be in chrome, black and blue. In fact all areas in grey color will be in chrome.
Will try to get either mirro finish or reflective stickers done. Waiting for some quotations.
TOM - how much did you pay AdCal? What was the minimum run (I will take only 20 sets to start with)? How much time did they take? Can u send me a sample of the material used in your stickers? I am planning to use either the material used by Salix or Warsop.

Oh forgot to mention this Monday the design agency will be filing for copyright to this design and the other 3 that will be created over the newt few months.
-
AdCal was roughly £5 a set with a run of 50. The material is different to Newbery and Salix, you need to use RHTI if you want that material although you'll need to order loads. AdCal stickers are similar to the GN ones in material.
Also may I ask why are you filing for copyright on the design? Isn't it just for a small project rather than huge company.
With regard to the stickers, I don't really like them as they take up a bit too much wood for my liking. Although I do like the style the Predator is written in.
-
Thanks Tom for the info and thoughts.
-
rhti use a chrome material which is expensive to buy, gives a very nice finish/look but expensive ,think it is called 'hi chrome' will check it out
-
is there a website for rhti?
-
www.rhti.co.uk (http://www.rhti.co.uk)
-
thanks Tom.
-
'hi brite' is the chrome you are looking for
-
The Rhti stickers have a liquid ink which gives a true mirror finish, very expensive so that is why the stickers cost more. Adcal cannot match it, in fact not even come close.
-
I think I will give rhti a shot if they agree to do 20 sets. If I am investing time and money might as well get the best I can.
My friend who runs a branding company and helped me with designing the stickers will be speaking to a few printers who he feels can deliver what I want. let's see what he comes up with. He definitely has more contacts and get a good job done at a reasonable price.
-
RHti are only really for the big boys, if you want 20 you will be paying about £25 per set. Stick with Adcal for the first run and if there is demand then look at RHti for any big order.
-
Thanks Mike. But I am going to be using these stickers purely for my personal bats and not for introducing a new brand of bats (at least for the time being).
lets see what my friend comes back to me with in terms of printing options.
I may get the stickers narrowed down a bit (like the warsop or newbery). Do you feel they will look better then?
-
I would prefer more wood showing on the bat personally, have you tried your brother in law at BAS for printing stickers too?
