Just read that his father comitted suicide and it was Johny who first found/saw it.
Wow! Tough lad he is indeed!
I wish he has a successful career and I hope what Shoaib Akhtar said turns to be true "Will replace KP in some time"
Apparently his father was a cricketer too ?

David Bairstow Wicketkeeper batsman for Yorkshire & England(70's I think)
By all accounts cricketer full of character
-
David Bairstow was more than "full of character" he was a bloody legend.
I remember watching him when I was growing up - he was one of those cricketers you could always hear from the stands, and it was always positive. A great batsman - hit it miles - and a downright lovely bloke. One of my happiest memories was being allowed to give him throwdowns on the outfield before the Scarborough Festival in 1989!
What happened to him after cricket wasn't good. Not good at all.
-
Yeah his dad was,a great Yorkshire cricketer.
I remember as a kid having my photo taken with him at north marine road Scarborough CC ground when Yorkshire played there.
A top man and jonny is goin to be a England regular in years to come!
-
Wow!
I hope Jonny keeps Bairstows legacy alive, he does look like a good prospect I just hope he gets more chances in ODIs.
Mind you he is better than Kieswetter and Patel and even Bopara
-
because he no longer wanted to live......bit of a daft and insensitive question really!
-
and suicided is not a word the appropriate term is 'commit suicide'.
-
Why not just remove the question entirely....It's not appropriate and why would you want to know anyhow?
