Morrant Ultralight Internationals Pads – breaking them in?
Thinking about buying a pair or these but worried about how stiff and uncomfortable they may be to start with…
Is there a way of breaking these in quickly?
Also, I’ve noticed they don’t have any padding behind the thigh part of the pads – is the protection still sufficient?

They don't take long imho as they're made of pretty malleable material anyway. They're kind of formed in shape already and for me at least they fit nice and snug. Depending on how tall you are you might want to get the appropriate size - I think they do two mens sizes.
The protection is brilliant as far as I'm concerned. Never had a single ball that has caused me any pain hitting me on the pads while wearing them. They do feel a bit odd at first as they're a different shape than traditional pads, but i'f they're good enough for tendulkar, dravid and laxman i think I'll be fine…

The pads that ping ;) inside edged one onto the centre of my pad back past the bowler :D
Don't take much wearing in like James said, if at all. May take a little adjustment to lack of knee roll/locator on the inside of the pad but a good investment

My opening partner has these and usually laps me when we're running between wickets :D must be because they're so light... My concern with them has always been the level of protection given that all the padding is in the shin area only. I have seen Tendulkar stuff lots of padding in his...
are they easy to clean? And suitable with people with "big" legs? (i.e. wrap around of the pads and strap length?)

Eerr tendulkar plays international cricket and apparently uses the same pair from over 20 years ago.
They have come on a bit and have a lot of protection. they are great pads
