Have finally got my new 2009 bat ready and have had pre-orders which have kept me afloat.... one is going to be shipped to Leo for all his help! Unfortunately we were not able to use his sticker design which I have discussed at length with him via email etc over the last few months.... but I sincerely hope he likes his bat.
Got to pick one out for myself.... you know times are hard when you have to buy one off yourself ;D
Stickers will not be to everyones taste but everyone who has seen them in the flesh has really liked them.

Nice bats do they have scoops or just deep concaving
-
Just concaving ....sorry the pics are not a tad clearer
-
I like them
-
Chris, your mailbox if full......
-
the stickers are certainly an improvement
-
Yep I am really pleased with them... unfortunately the pics do not really do them justice but as I say stickers are always down to individual taste and I'm sure some people won't like them.
-
Are they imported from India or Pakistan?
-
He makes them himself apparently!!!
-
They are made by dynamite bats which is myself and my business partner here in the UK. Admittedly cricket bats is not my fulltime job but my business partner makes bats fulltime some of which are for other people. I learnt quickly that i couldnt work alone on this venture and was lucky to find a great chap to take the business forward with.

Becoming a partnership has allowed me to use my sales and people skills which is what ive done all of my working life... For my partner its allowed him to concentrate on batmaking and let me worry about marketing issues... All in all things are looking good but only time will tell.
-
May I ask where's your batmaking partner based and what is his name?
-
Tom if you want to discuss just pm me your phone number and i will get in touch. Ta chris

Is it the Bristol area?
edit: Any reason for the clear [cellophane] wrapper in the first pic on some of the bats?
-
Cellaphane because the bats are being moved via courier and is there to protect them when i move them around. Wouldnt want them to get marked up. They are sent out with this and corrugated cardboard to stop damage... How do u package yours?

Norbair if you also want to discuss im happy to contact you by phone. Cheers mate. Chris

I do my best to bubblewrap and put them in box... cellophane isn't something you generally see so I asked the question
Have you sorted a website out yet?
-
Hi Norbair thanks for that its one of the reasons i joined the forum to tap in to other peoples experience. Sadly no website just yet as Leo knows i lost my day job b4 xmas so funds were tight and everyone seems to want a small fortune to set it up. What would you guys consider a good and realistic price to get a good looking web page? Im trying not to get ripped off you see. At the moment im only selling bats through me approaching people and word of mouth which is not ideal as you can imagine, however because I am a chatty person and not afraid to go and talk to people it seems to be working out ok for now.
