Title: My New Black Cat Custom

I purchased this bat a few weeks ago through Charlie at Black cat.

it weighs 2.12
has 38mm edges
lowish middle
15 pretty straight grains
no blemishes on the face just a reasonable sized not on the back not affecting performance

i got it pre knocked due to winning a comp on facebook so was ready to use (i gave it a few extra hours just testing the rebound)

it had it's first net session last week and came off beautifully right away. With a bit more work i think its going to be an amazing bat this year and will hopefully put me in great form for the start of the season.

the pick isnt bad obviously the lower middle you feel a bit of dead weight in the bat but will suit my front foot bullying style. the middle seems to be very long starting from three inches up the bat untill near the stickers.

i will now stop ranting and let you have a look

pictures are poor im afraid as taken on HTC but at least you can see vaguely what it looks like

lastly id just say charlie's customer service was great, kept me in the loop. and although the bat arrived unknocked in and had to go back i cant complain as it was just the haste to get my bat to me quickly. i sent it back which i was reimbursed the charge and recieved a knocked in and scuff face added the same week.

nice looking bat mate..did you chose the silver stickers or is it what the custom bats come with?

haha the scoop wont be as impressive! but will do for bowling machine and nets dont want to waste this in nets

only won the knocking through a comp! still cost a bit but got forum discount as well but they are such beautiful bats

Black Cats are indeed of superb vintage!
Enjoy it fella - first time I used mine in anger it surprised me at just how well it went!

its the standard custom ones, i hadnt seen them before i ordered, thought i might get some similar to the shadow or voodoo stickets, but i have to say i was pleasently suprised with these

Yeah they are nice indeed, i love their black stickers but had not seen the silver ones...compliment a beautiful bat perfectly...

Bat looks awesome ... i'm in the process of talking with Charlie at Black Cat about my custom!!

Can't wait ... the stickers look so nice, often been tempted to pull stickers off my old bats and just have a plain bat but certainly won't be doing that with mine  :D

its a top stick mate and i dont think anyone on here would say they have had a bad one from charlie. goes like stink and looks far better than i do at the crease!

I'm ordering mine tomorrow ... just discussing final spec with him!

I'm going for 1/2 an inch shorter blade than the joker keeping the joker profile but with a bit of weight off to comprimise the balance ... should be a serious amount of wood though! Add the lovely 2012 stickers and I have the bat i've always dreamt of?

Roll on 3/4 weeks ... will post some pics once received :)
