Title: Beckenham Sports
Post by: Talisman on March 13, 2012, 08:47:38 AM
I popped into BCS yesterday as was nearby and have to say I was really impressed. The shop is right next door to a cheap car park and even though it is not big it has plenty of stock. The staff were really the main selling point, very friendly and the most honest I've come across. No telling you this bat has incredible ping, was hand selected, is grade 1+++ etc as per the bottom end. I was informed of personal preferences, what brands have done previously and open concerns about certain products. I love the fact they stocked. Chase yet said they had only met Dan last September and so had no feedback about bats but were a little concerned about the Finback shape playing well, a fair shout in my books. Also pointed out the Boom Boom Signature 100 as the best bargain, warned it was very dry with a dodgy handle in comparison to top end bats but you could buy 3 of them and have change...

In summary I don't think you could go wrong with them if they stock what you are after, was party to a returned bat issue and perfect customer service, a GN bat repaired and returned inside 5 days. Very impressed.

Just round the corner from me! Have always found them very helpful - will order in if it's not in stock etc. Will chat to you if you want and leave you alone if that's your preference.

Very busy on a Saturday AM though - not the biggest!

My Closest shop, used them throughout my cricketing career and never really had any problems at all, that was until this year, As i paid for a bat of my to be knocked in by them (£25.00) however after recieving looked as if it had been hit a dozen times with a mallet and that was it...
However i still highly recommend them, as this is my only first problem...
Would recommend to anyone local looking for a reasonable shop with great staff   :)
