What do you look for when yo are buying a grip and also what do you want to see in a new grip on the market?

not really, prefer the feel rather than colour etc.

unless you can make a white spiral that stays white, now I'd buy those bad boys :D

White grips so they don't stain my gloves :) unless there's some crazy colour combinations on offer then my idiot side can take over. Would love some kind of wacky chevron design grip, like a rainbow or paint splatter etc

yeah they are a nice combo but always get saggy for some reason :(

The old style Puma grips were always quite cool but they were too thin! So a grip that doesn't rip (if that is ever possible)

Post by: Talisman on March 19, 2012, 11:59:21 AM: For me the grip has to be well made, this means 100% latex rather than the cheaper imported grips, the benefits are a lighter grip, it wears better and it gives more feel. Style is down to personal choice, I choose the Spiral grips as they offer me more grip on the handle.

A material that isn't too abrasive on soft glove palms.

I am playing around with numerous chevrons, spirals, and those half and half grips from Kieron

Post by: tushar sehgal on March 19, 2012, 12:55:35 PM: I prefer grips that do not slip in my hand, octopus seems to the best for this but does cause more wear and tear to the palms of your gloves.

I have a Kookaburra blade runner a few years ago and it had the worst grip ever, looked great but the bat kept moving in my hand. I dont used spirals as in my head i can see the handle turning in my hands...

Should add color doesnt matter to me, if it looks great then its an added bonus but not the primary function of the grip....Puma ones feel decent too...

I have a half chevron and a half shock absorber under a chevron on the ayrtek which feel very nice

I used one. Well used is an overstatement. It split in half trying to put it on!

Just ordered myself a couple of GN White/Black/White ones.

For it to be flat and grippy. Prefer chevrons or diamond grips, colour isn't massively important but has to go well with my kit.
