With the season around the corner, coupled with the fact that ive had very minimal net practice this season, im getting a bit worried.
Are there any tips that any of you could provide on improving the batsman's balance at the wicket.

I've recently come back from tearing my knee cartilage, and I was told this thing to improve my balance and help me when at the crease, not sure if it'll work though.
Basically stand on one foot, with a ball stretch down to lowards opposite foot, the go up to opposite corner again, across the top to the other corner, and then from the top corner go down to the bottom corner which you didn't start on. The figure you should make will look something like an "X"
This has helped with my balance since returning to cricket! :)

there is no substitute in cricket for practicing.
I suspect you may need to go and have a sessions with a mate doing some throw downs working on being on the balls of your feet and having your weight evenly balanced on both feet.

I would suggest widening your stance and leading with your head....
As buzz says practice makes perfect or at least improvement
