Saw this and it made me laugh, 2.32 clip and watch Nick in the background showing us either he hasn't a clue about handle shaping or it is simply a ploy to demostrate the time and effort that goes into removing a gram of willow and cane, for those who are interested the handle will be finished on June 14th at 4.35pm...

thats great.
im not sure he actually removed any willow/handle during that. im guessing he gets paid by the hour which is why the bats are so expensive.
-
lolz not one bit of wood comes off that handle lol
why not just sand it if its for demonstration
-
Haha LOL!
Puma Calibre in background, I guess Nick should have spent time covering/hiding that 8)
-
Hahahaha no wood whatsoever comes off that handle... Why bother
-
Ha that is a pathetic attempt at trying to look busy. Must not be selling many bats if they are taking that long to make....
-
the techniques there tho. credit where its due lol

Or must be getting part mades :)
-
Would have been more impressive to see 5 bats shaped in that time, not a big ask for a Pro.
-
Why bother though?? Why stand there and do that for the sake of a bit of tv coverage?? Why not actually do the handle.... Surely that would have been the right thing to do? Or be shaving a bat down etc. Jesus even gripping the bloody thing would have looked more authentic than that shadow shaving effort. Granted I can't do it but it just looks a bit daft

seem to be a lot of M and H haters on here today or perhaps you are blindling following the 1st post.
At least they make there own bats and dont just make up stickers for them
:)

Personally I like millichamp bats, very very expensive but lovely nontheless. Just pointless 'pretending' if you can actually do the job.

I'm big fan of M&H gear, have couple of their bats and other bits and bobs are en route.
However, please see this;

nobody hates M&H it was just a rubbish effort to look busy. We have plenty of experts on the subject in this forum and they should've come to us first for "creative input" :D
-
If you weren't all looking at the batmaking techniques and listening to the interview instead lol. It wouldn't have even registered!
-
True the video clip does look pretty naff but I would certainly not say a picture and the details on the cricket insight is gospel.plenty of people on this forum with inflated opinions of themselves and happy to dumb down other companies.ive just picked up a 2nd hand distinction, the guy who sold it had the bat making experience and yes it was totally hand made,no machines..
Whether every single bat is I would not like to say because I don't work there.
-
I've got a lot of respect for all the brands, they all offer top quality products at different price ranges. It takes a lot to run a brand and even more so when it's as successful as M&H. Love Their bats but just too expensive. I'm sure some or most brands have part made's, it just makes business sense.

hope he gets paid per bat not by the hour ?????
