Who would Rob Pack get to make a bat for him
-
what part of the bat making process did you find the hardest to grasp?
are you looking for an apprentice? if so can i have the job?
-
How many bats do you make in a year?
-
How did the deal with Puma come about?
Was it a risk for him as Puma Cricket in this country was relatively small / undergoing a re-brand?
-
have you every made a bat that you knew was a absolute monster in size or performance? What happened to it?
-
What does rob think of puma's love for massive concaving and extreme wood removal in most of their new shapes...
And does he think they would benefit from having a more traditional bat in their range I.e the classic
-
What was your role at Kookaburra?
-
At what stage during the bat making process do you know a bat is going to be a performer.
Do no of grains matter?
What advice would you give someone trying to seek out an outstanding performing bat.
-
what number of grains does he personally think is best on a bat
-
How does Rob recommend preparing his bats for play in terms of oiling (how much, if any?), knocking in (how long?) and does he recommend a scuff sheet?
-
Last day for any questions
-
Rob currently has 2 brands, if i am correct, RPC and BR.
What would be the difference between the gear from the two brands?
-
How does RP see the difference in his two brands?
For example, does he see the RP as more traditional brand with classic stickers and less about edge and profile size? And is Blueroom more about larger profiles?
-
Also what proportion of time does he spend on Puma, RP and Blueroom?
-
Which profile do you rate as the best for all-round performance? (middle size, balance, pick-up, balance, etc)
-
does rob still make the odd laminated bat, is there still a marked for them?
-
If you didn't make bats and were a humble cricketer, who in your opinion has been the most consistant quality maker/producer of bats past and present?
-
