To all batmakers....
was wondering if any of you could do me a favour? I'm trying to find the lightest bat i can maybe a 2.1/2.3. and if any of you would be able to do that for me ?! The Cleft as bad as possible, as i'm trying to keep it very cheap. Only specs are. Slight bow, Full size SH, as big as edges as possible. It will be for indoor so quality of willow doesn't matter, just need a feather to bat with! Any help or ideas please get back to me!
OR being cheeky, if anyone has any crap old SH and some stickers and i can try and take the weight down myself?

Just buy a Kashmir and take it down.
The best I can do is a grade 2 cleft in rough state for £50.

Just an idea - not to try and take business away from you guys already helping - but i've played indoor cricket with a few guys who use a harrow bat, i've found that you dont really utilise the extra 1-2 inches in length gained using a short handle, moreover the harrow bats tend to be pretty light and cheap. However, the offer a bat being made up for you for 50 sheets sounds pretty good to me.....how many people can say they have a handmade specialist indoor bat!

I have a 2lb 4oz would cost roughly £50. Dry willow so big profile may not last more than a season though.

Is there much demand for this type of bat? I used to play indoor but I use lightish bats anyway... I can probably see the point in such a beast.

Mike I'm very intrigued by your offer, i have no real tools and hand sanding it to a tiny weight could be an effort, unless you could enlighten me.
Tom- is there much room on the profile for it to go even lighter?

Loads of room, edges are around 30mm at present. So could do down a fair bit, will look through all the bats I have tomorrow for the lightest.

Attached are pics, the left bat is the aforementioned dried out willow. Lowest grade of English, would be looking for £40 posted for it. Got a slightly better looking one too at 2lb 6oz. But only a couple of these as I only had 5 made for local indoor players.
Has a few dents in the toe area from transit, because of this big profile meaning you could shave a few oz's off it and still have a reasonable size. The bat to the right of it is a 2lb 8oz to get a sense of scale. Edges are 34mm on the left bat.
