Its Kinda wrong place, but who knows where the cheapest place to get a bat refurbed is?
-
whats wrong with the bat? i would normally say get the sand paper out if it's just a few surface cracks. Other than that i believe Yash informed me that puma do a good service for £25.
-
this is what yash posted
I recommend a professional refurb as they sand and polish the bat again and put new stickers, toe guard and grip.
"I love Puma for this. They charge only £20 and give a top job - oiling (with a bit of knocking in if required), sanding, new toe guard, new grip, stickers, facing and next day delivery.....This is what I call value for money. The turn around time id 4 days!!!
Hope the other big brand batmakers are listening......"

k cheers, its just a old hunts from a loft, havent seen it but guy at work said it cost him £300 5 years ago
-
LOL. I've never heard of anyone paying full whack for a county.....£300 lol!
-
if i was you, i would get in touch with hunts county. as they would be the only company who replace the correct stickers and they would probably have the best knowledge on what to do to it as well.
-
im not that bothered about not geting the correct stickers, i might just buy some off ebay
-
if i was to do it myself what would the plan of attack be?
-
i do the occassional refurb and all i use is hand sandpaper, but if you value the bat quite highly and do not want to risk getting it wrong, i would advise getting it done professionally or using electrical sanders as they are much more accurate...
-
k, well who are the cheapest company to go through, i know puma dont do it unless its a puma, and it doesnt really need any work, just cleaning up
-
Gary(Redback) offers a very good refurb service
-
how much are they?
-
Try Chase as they're pretty near to Southampton. This will save you £15 on postage.
-
i know somebody who works in chase, and ill ask him about it, but does anybody else know cheap dealers?
-
how much are they?
£20 plus P+P IIRC
-
Does anyone have the contact details to get in touch with Puma about a refurb?
Cheers
-
Yash knows them as he had a bat refurbed by them.
-
Puma, I've heard, have no workshop in the UK anymore...
