Post by: Talisman on April 06, 2009, 09:19:53 PM: I bought some genuine Kookaburra stickers from an Indian eBayer, they had taken a picture of the real thing and then sent fakes. The problem with buying these is that your paypal money will be gone before you get the stickers, if indeed you ever get them and then paypal will not be able to refund the money as the sellers account will be closed.

I'll find out if that's the case tomorrow, as I'm waiting on £220 from Paypal for an iPhone that never turned up.

Post by: Talisman on April 07, 2009, 06:43:19 AM: I bought a bat that did not turn up and after being awarded the refund it took 17 days to get the money as Paypal told me the money had been withdrawn from the account and they had to try the sellers bank. It worries me a bit and you do hear many horror stories.

Generally caveat emptor does not exist and buyers have a great deal more rights than they are advised by many of these groups.

Post by: sultanofswing on April 07, 2009, 07:24:17 AM: from my experience in selling if people pay by credit card through paypal then the money is held in there account until the seller receives positive feedback, however this is bad for you as a seller because you can send them the item and they can recieve it but then there credit card company can take the money back if they choose to

Ian, they cost £20 as they cost me a fair bit and they're incredibly rare at the moment. Maybe when there's more fakes or sellers on Ebay the price will come down from the suppliers. The £20 is including postage also.

In my expereicne this guy should not be trusted!
