After taking a punt on a pair of used strippers and finding them to be very very good I was wondering how many of you guys all have a pair or two that need new strapping?
The reason for asking is that I cant find anywhere that sells just the strapping (i take it you cant get just the strapping) so I was thinking if there were enough of us and a few of the Mods got involved (and used some of there Mod muscle and the power of the biggest cricket forum in the UK ;) ) as a large group we could approach aero and ask them if they could do a group offer of just the strapping. That way we are being environmentally friendly by reusing there pads. :D
Cheeky I know but if you don't ask you don't get..
So what do you all think?

I have done and am just waiting for a reply, but I was also thinking of using this to show there is a demand for the straps to be sold on there own...

Trouble is that the shape of strippers have evolved. Unless your 2nd hand strippers are the very latest model, there's a good chance that if aero sent the straps the pads wouldn't fit

You can get some of that velcro stuff by itself and iron it onto some new straps, which im sure you can buy separately too. Its then just a question of sewing them on

Hmmmm good point.... Looks like this Idea is dead in the water....

I think it's a great concept Frank. Still worthwhile pursuing I'd say. It may only be the hip protector that's changed

I think so, I will wait for a reply from aero and then take it from there, I do think there is merit in selling just the straps like other company's sell the shorts. Don't really understand why they wouldn't.

Well I had a reply from Philip Bradley the MD of aero in NZ and he has said that they do not sell and will not be willing to sell just the strapping for the strippers.
Such a pitty...
