The heartwood on the 8k looks horrible its way too dark but the grains look to be nice and the profiles look decent aswell.
-
The new ca plus 8k and 5k are very nice bats and very good profile n I've had a few plus8ks & 5ks I bought off Armie and all have been very good.
This season I will get another couple of bats off these Armie but I will leave on the original CA stickers bcoz these new style gold stickers look better then old ca stickers
-
i do think they look good but they have got 0 on wasop,ce and most other companys

This guys a fool r u new in the cricketworld. U cant compare such small names to CA. Same price as 1 custom made English bat U can buy 5/6 asians bats far better quality.
-
Majid asian bats arn't better quality...
-
And you can't buy 5/6 for the price of one english one...
-
£100 for the price of a handmade G1 bat from CE / Solitare etc
-
CA overdry their bats leaving almost no moisture in them, meaning it will not last very long at all!
-
LOL. Look around the forum to see which bats are made of best quality EW. And CA dont overdry the willow I've been using CA & AS and I've had an AS v3 bat for abt 2 yrs now i think hopefully it will last few more yrs.

CA PLUS 12000
A true dream of a bat. Incredible pick up, huge middle, and it goes like nothing else you've seen.
Specially selected English Willow clefts
Hand crafted and balanced to perfection
Better than Grade 1 standard
Typically 9 or more grains
Pre knocked in, with clear face cover so is ready to play
Features new Octopus-style grip
Includes bat cover
The top batsman of the English County Championship in 2008, Tony Frost, described this bat as "an absolute belter". With an average of over 80 for the 2008 season, he knows what he is talking about when it comes to bats.

his point is that they are;

With the thing about tony frost, for a start you done even know if hes using a CA and also he says HIS bat is a belter, not CA in general
Typically 9 or more grains

Majid you are talking absolute rubbish if you can get 5/6 G1+, English Willow, custom made bats for under £140 (CE) Than let me know but i bet you can't!
-
I think there's a lot of rubbish that's been posted in this topic personally. CA can make a good bat of course and I think Asian manufacturers are certainly getting closer to the English guys in terms of quality. Not quite there yet though.
For roughly £100 the CA Plus' are good value, although some English hand batmaker can also offer something similar at a similar price. Everyone has their preferences, and if Majid has had a few nice bats from CA then it's fair enough they he recommends them and is interested in their equipment. It's just not always put across in the best manner.

Majid,
I'd like one of the CA bats that are better than grade 1 please, how do I go about getting one and what grade would it be.
Thanks in advance.
