Ok guys its that time again I think. Another bat purchase, on a slight budget this time though and want tosee what ideas you guys come up with. Budget is 180 max inc postage an is would still like premium quality. I want to stay away from traditional style bats as those are usually my preference and without some if not a lot of convincing ill end up buying the same old stuff like I did with the shark and it will end up for.sale... Like the shark lol.
Come on something that will surprise me, maybe even be a keeper if I really drop on haha
Do your worst forumites.

is the challenge then to get one of the pod shavers on here to make you something unique, that will also suit your game?
if it is you may want to put a bit more information about the types of shots you play, your weight of choice, flat face or curved...
-
try one of my bats mate you wont be disapointed and we have a good froum deal on
-
flat face or curved...
Oh Lord - Buzz how does this affect the performance. (After catching up with Convexing I thought I knew all about bats Lmao :) )
Hoping it doesn't digress us from the topic.
Jag.

I'm not looking for a specific bat as such mate. Just something different to my usual traditional profile and not RP made. Open to all brands just on a budget this time. I suppose the aim is just for me to be happy with what I get and see what else out there can stump up gainst my two pack bats. Only specs as such would be best quality willow within price range and weight of 2lb9oz
I just want to try other brands, and hopefully surprise myself with what else is available out there.

Any brand, any style. Only preferences are weight and price

Paul Aldred? He's got an offer on of £165 for a supreme and it is quite an interesting profile?
-
Try the GN e41 or A61 or a XXX VI.
I have used the e41 and the XXX VI and they are very very good and big for their weight as well.
-
...that's a good shout Pedals

Why thank you! I've seen pics of three bats he's made and they definitely fit the bill quality wise, haven't got one myself but fighting the urge as we speak...
I reckon any guy with a recent pro career behind him knows what players want....

Not really Liam. Some Aussie retailers are selling the pre-release A61 for a very low price.
The e41 and XXX VI I have sued have been the 1000LE grade and performed exceptionally well.
A guy in my club has a e41 750I and it hits a long ball effortlessly

There's fees etc for import tax on top of price though lol. I want to be strict with my budget mate otherwise there's no point having it

Coming up at around £275-£300 before shipping and duties etc.......Buying bats from Australia is really expensive, that's why the all buy them over here....!
-
Aldred fo' sho! They look amazing!
-
I believe they may indeed be the 'shizzle' :D
-
They is 'the shizzle ma nizzle'
-
They do look nice I'm just not lured to them though.

Don't go by the website prices, it is end of the season in Aus.
I got a very good deal on a A61. Well under 250 pounds posted. Still thinking though whether to buy or not

Call the GCCC guys in Melbourne. They always offer some good bats for at 15%-30% lower than their listed prices. A mate got a Puma Reserve (with pink stickers) for just under 300 posted last year and it is a great bat.
-
I could sort you out something. Maybe the le profile? Something a bit different . Get some change from your 180 aswell
-
Meulemans will also discount kit! Mate of mine got a playerx bradbury for $550 or $600.

I think I've made my decision guys but thanks for the help. I've spoken johnny and looking at getting CF to make me something up. Usually go for traditional bats so asked for something at 2.9 big and chunky but basically giving mr French free reign on it so he can surprise me 8)
Very much looking forward to seeing what comes back
