Title: After some help lads?
Post by: toby176 on April 19, 2012, 01:24:24 PM
Evening chaps..

Okay, so I just bought a bat from ebay which can be seen here...

 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/puma-cricket-bat-signed-adam-gilchrist-puma-classic-6000-/250905513123?pt=AU_Men_Accessories&hash=item3a6b224ca3

Anyway, so its a nice bat but i dont know wether to give it a refurb, or keep it as it is as its signed by Gilly.

Any advise? Did all these bats have gillys signature?

If you got it for Gilly's autograph then dont refurb,, if you didn't then it does not matter...

The autograph is so far gone I'd just refurb it and use it....Even if it was in great nick with the signature on it still wouldn't be worth much....looks like a decent bit of wood, seems a shame not to hit things with it!

My thoughts exactley! Looks quite the bit of wood.

On a side note, my friend has a Gray Nicolls XXX 5 bully thats signed by Gilly also and I think he may be interested in selling it, any ideas on price?

Probably not a lot more than the same bat without the signature.....!

Seeing as Gilly never used a GN bat it's not like it's 'match used' or anything....

Look at it this way, how much would you pay for Gilly's signature? 10 quid?

The signature might make it a bit easier to sell but won't effect the final price much...
